Christopher Bear
Christopher Bear (born July 19, 1982) is a drummer and multi-instrumentalist member of the Brooklyn-based indie-rock group Grizzly Bear. Bear joined the group with singer Ed Droste for contributions on their first record, '' Horn of Plenty''. He also contributed to Earl Greyhound's self-titled EP in 2004. Bear worked with fellow Grizzly Bear bandmates Daniel Rossen and Chris Taylor on Rossen's project Department of Eagles, contributing drums to their sophomore album, ''In Ear Park''. In addition to his continuing work with Grizzly Bear, Bear was briefly a member of Dirty Projectors. Bear continues developing his independent career most recently working on arranging soundtracks for the HBO series ''High Maintenance''. Winfield is an incorporated village located in Milton and Winfield Townships, DuPage County, Illinois, United States. ''Shore'' is the fourth studio album by American band Fleet Foxes, released on September 22, 2020, by Anti- Records. It was announced one day in advance of its release, and was intentionally released exactly at the autumnal equinox on September 22, 2020. It is the follow-up to their 2017 album '' Crack-Up'' and is the band's first release on Anti- Records. It is the band's second album since regrouping in 2016 after a three-year hiatus. Frontman Robin Pecknold began writing ''Shore'' in September 2018 and recorded the album between September 2019 and September 2020, including during the COVID-19 pandemic. ''In Ear Park'' is the second album by Department of Eagles. It was released by 4AD on October 7, 2008. The inspiration for the album is noted to come from Daniel Rossen's childhood experiences, most notably memories of those related to his father. The album is dedicated to his father, who died in 2007. In an interview for a 4AD DUMBO Session, Rossen reflected on the inspiration for the title of the album, quoting, "It was a nickname for a park that I used to go to with my dad, when I was a kid, and there was an interactive statue that looked like a giant ear...so we called it ''In Ear Park''". Christopher Taylor (born August 29, 1981) is an American multi-instrumentalist and record producer. He is best known as the bass guitarist, backing vocalist and producer of the Brooklyn-based indie rock band Grizzly Bear, with whom he has recorded four studio albums. Taylor also records solo material under the moniker CANT, releasing his debut album, '' Dreams Come True'', in 2011. Acting as Grizzly Bear's regular producer, Taylor has also produced albums for Dirty Projectors, Department of Eagles, Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson, Twin Shadow, Kishi Bashi and The Morning Benders. Daniel Raphael Rossen (born August 5, 1982) is an American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known as the guitarist and co-lead vocalist of the indie rock band Grizzly Bear, with whom he has recorded four studio albums. Rossen is also a member of Department of Eagles, and released a solo EP, '' Silent Hour/Golden Mile'', in 2012. His debut solo studio album, '' You Belong There'', was released in 2022. Earl Greyhound
Earl Greyhound is an American rock trio from Brooklyn consisting of Matt Whyte (vocals, guitar), Kamara Thomas (bass, keyboards, vocals), and Ricc Sheridan (drums). Sheridan replaced original drummer Christopher Bear just after the band recorded its first full-length album. They were first signed to Some Records but later started their own label, Hawk Race Records. Their music is heavily influenced by blues rock and hard rock bands of both the 1990s and the 1970s, and the intertwined vocals of Whyte and Thomas are a key component of the band's sound. After an EP in 2004, the band's first full-length album, '' Soft Targets'', was released in 2006, followed by '' Suspicious Package'' in 2010. The band then went on an extended hiatus.
