Christophe Laudamiel
Christophe Laudamiel (born 1969) is a French perfumer. He is co-founder and Master Perfumer of DreamAir creative studios in New York City, where he currently resides. In 2019 he was named Chief Perfumer to BélAir Lab in Tokyo: a perfume composition and technology studio newly managed by Rohto Pharmaceuticals. He is a founder and president of the non-profit Academy of Perfumery and Aromatics. Education After winning the French National Chemistry Olympiads in 1986, Laudamiel studies Mathematiques and Physics at Lycée Blaise Pascal in Clermont-Ferrand. After winning a Bronz Medal at the International Chemistry Olympiads in Helsinki, Finland 1988, he went on and graduated Valedictorian with a Master's degree in Chemistry from the European Higher Institute of Chemistry in Strasbourg, France. 1991. Jean-Claude Ellena
Jean-Claude Ellena (born 1947, Grasse, France) is a French perfumer and writer. Career At an early age, Ellena picked jasmine with his grandmother in Grasse to sell to perfumers. Beginning with menial jobs, he became an apprentice at the factory of the essential oils maker Antoine Chiris in Grasse at the age 16 working on the night shift. He has reminisced, “Among other essential oils, we made a lot of oakmoss, and after I’d put the distiller on, I’d lie down on a bed of it and sleep.” In 1968, he became the first student at what was at the time the newly formed perfumery school of Givaudan, one of the oldest perfume factories, in Geneva, Switzerland. He left Givaudan in 1976 with two others perfumers for Lautier in Grasse. Alberto Morillas
Alberto Morillas (born 1950) is a Spanish perfumer. He is a master perfumer at Swiss fragrance and flavor firm Firmenich, where his notable creations have included Calvin Klein CK One, Giorgio Armani Acqua di Giò and Marc Jacobs Daisy. He has an independent line called Mizensir. Early life Morillas was born in 1950 in Seville, Spain and moved to Switzerland at age ten. He studied for two years at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Geneva.
