Christina Chitwood
Christina Chitwood (born 21 March 1990) is an American former competitive ice dancer who represented Great Britain with Mark Hanretty. They are two-time (2008, 2010) British bronze medalists and competed at the 2009 European Championships, placing 18th. Competitive career Early in her career, Chitwood competed in pair skating with her brother, Will Chitwood. She later switched to ice dancing and competed with Stephen Chasman. Chitwood and Scottish ice dancer Mark Hanretty decided to team up on 31 December 2005 and began training together properly in May 2006. Their training was disrupted by Chitwood's contraction of glandular fever (also known as mononucleosis). They made their debut at the 2007 British Championships at the National Ice Centre in Nottingham, Great Britain, in January 2007, finishing in 7th place. 2008 Nebelhorn Trophy
The 2008 Nebelhorn Trophy took place between September 25 and 29, 2008 at the Eislaufzentrum Oberstdorf. The compulsory dance was the Viennese Waltz. The competition held annually in Oberstdorf, Germany and is named after the Nebelhorn, a nearby mountain. It is one of the first international senior competitions of the season. Skaters are entered by their respective national federations and compete in four disciplines: men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The Fritz-Geiger-Memorial Trophy is presented to the team with the highest placements across all disciplines. IceSheffield
iceSheffield is an ice arena in the Lower Don Valley, Sheffield, England. iceSheffield was completed in May 2003 at a cost of £15 million and is a Centre of Excellence for figure skating, ice dance and hockey, and it is one of only two facilities in the UK that has two Olympic sized ice pads with seating for 1,500 people in pad 1 and 125 in pad 2. Its overall philosophy of use/focus is for the inclusion and activities for all ice sports from community and grass root usage to elite performance. It is now home to most ice hockey teams in Sheffield with the exception being the Sheffield Steelers, who are still based at nearby Sheffield Arena, though the venue has hosted a number of Steelers games in recent seasons. The Icechallenge (formerly known as the Leo-Scheu-Gedächtnislaufen or Leo Scheu Memorial) is an annual international figure skating competition organized by the Grazer Eislaufverein and sanctioned by the Austrian Figure Skating association and the International Skating Union. The event is usually held every autumn in Graz, Austria. Medals may be awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. In 2014 and 2015, the Ice Challenge's senior events were part of the ISU Challenger Series. In 2021, the Icechallenge returned to the ISU Challenger Series under the name Cup of Austria. John Kerr (figure Skater)
John Alastair Kerr (born 2 June 1980 in Broxburn, Scotland) is a Scottish former competitive ice dancer who represented Great Britain with his sister Sinead Kerr. Together, they are two-time (2009, 2011) European bronze medalists and the 2004–2010 British national champions. The Kerrs retired from competitive skating in April 2011. Career Early career John Kerr started skating at the age of nine after watching his sister. He competed in singles skating until he was 17, landing jumps up to the triple Lutz. After his partnership with Anna Syrett ended, he teamed up with older sister Sinead. They skated as juniors for one season, then moved up to the senior level. Sinead Houston Kerr (born 30 August 1978) is a Scottish former competitive ice dancer who represented Great Britain. She teamed up with her brother John Kerr in 2000. They are two-time (2009, 2011) European bronze medalists and the 2004–2010 British national champions.
