Chris Macasaet
Chris Macasaet born (February 7, 1988) is a Filipino volleyball player. He played for the De La Salle University collegiate men's volleyball team. He also played for the Systema Active Smashers in the Spikers' Turf. Career Collegiate Macasaet made his first game appearance with the De La Salle Green Archers collegiate men's volleyball team in the UAAP Season 70 where they failed to advance to the semi-finals after being placed 6th. In UAAP Season 71, they had a 10–4 win–loss record in the preliminary round. They failed to advanced to the finals after being defeated by UP Fighting Maroons in the semis. In UAAP Season 72, they had a 7–7 win–loss record in the preliminaries, tied with UP Fighting Maroons. UAAP Season 70 was the 2007-08 season of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines, which was hosted by the University of Santo Tomas. De La Salle University returned to active participation after being suspended in Season 69. 2014 PSL Season
The 2014 PSL Season was the second season of the Philippine Super Liga (PSL). There were two conferences for the season – the All-Filipino and the Grand Prix – for both women’s and men’s division. The All-Filipino Conference was held between May 16, 2014 to July 26, 2014 with the Generika-Army Lady Troopers and the PLDT Home TVolution-Air Force Power Attackers emerging as champions for the Women’s and Men’s divisions, respectively. UAAP Season 72 was the 2009–2010 season of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. It was hosted by Far Eastern University, with opening rites on July 11, 2009 at the Araneta Coliseum. The men's basketball tournament and the women's volleyball tournament were aired by ABS-CBN's UHF Studio 23 for the tenth consecutive year. Opening ceremonies The opening ceremonies for the 72nd UAAP games was held at the Araneta Coliseum last July 11, 2009. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. UAAP Season 71 Volleyball Tournaments
The seniors' division of the UAAP Season 71 volleyball tournaments opened December 6, 2008. Tournament host will be Far Eastern University. Tournament games will be at the Far Eastern University Gym and The Arena in San Juan. The juniors' division tournaments were held on the first semester of the 2008-09 school year; the UE Pages and the UST Lady Tiger Cubs won all of their elimination round games in their respective divisions to clinch the championship outright. In the men's tournament, the UST Growling Tigers also won all of their elimination round games but went through the usual the Final Four format; they beat Ateneo in three straight sets in the semifinals to formalize their entry to the Finals; they then swept the UP Fighting Maroons 2–0 in the best-of-3 Finals series without losing a set to have an immaculate 17–0 Season 71 record to successfully defend their championship.
