Chris Landman (born 17 January 1981) is a Dutch professional darts player, currently playing in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Career In 2017, Landman won the Catalonian Open, reached the quarter-final of the WDF World Cup Singles, and reached the Last 16 of the World Masters. He qualified for the 2018 BDO World Darts Championship as one of the Regional Table Qualifiers, losing to Derk Telnekes 0-3 in the preliminary round. He qualified for the 2019 BDO World Darts Championship losing in the 1st round to Kyle McKinstry 3-2. He also qualified the year after and had his best result to date reaching the Quarter final after beating Dave Parletti & Ben Hazel before losing to eventual champion Wayne Warren 5-3. Wapenveld is a village in the eastern Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Heerde, Gelderland, about 10 km from Zwolle and 100 km from Amsterdam. WDF World Cup
The WDF World Cup is a major darts tournament organized by the World Darts Federation and has been held biennially since 1977. The tournament has featured men's events since the beginning, while women's events were added in 1983 and youth events in 1999. The 2019 World Cup was held in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. British Darts Organisation
The British Darts Organisation (BDO) was a darts organisation founded on 7 January 1973 by Olly Croft. Made up of 66 member counties, it oversaw professional, semi-professional and amateur darts competitions in Britain. The BDO was a founder member of the World Darts Federation in 1976. It also staged a BDO World Darts Championship, World Professional Darts Championship from 1978 to 2020. In the early 1990s, a dispute between Olly Croft and the top darts players over the decline in TV coverage and sponsorship led to an acrimonious Split in darts, split in the game, with the players breaking away to form their own governing body which became the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). PDC World Darts Championship
The PDC World Darts Championship, known for sponsorship purposes as the Cazoo World Darts Championship, organised by the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), is a World Professional Darts Championship held annually in the sport of darts. The PDC championship begins in December and ends in January and is held at Alexandra Palace in London and has been held there since 2008. It is the most prestigious of the PDC's tournaments, with the winner receiving the Sid Waddell Trophy, named in honour of the darts commentator Sid Waddell, who died in 2012. Along with the Premier League Darts and World Matchplay, it is considered part of the Triple Crown. Ian White (born 17 August 1970), nicknamed Diamond, is an English professional darts player currently playing in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. White is the winner of 13 PDC ranking events, and has reached many quarter-finals in majors. In 2019, he reached his first major semi final. Career In 1997, White reached the final of the PDC's revived News of the World Darts Championship. He defeated Des Byrne, Gary Spedding, Peter Manley and Andy Jenkins on the way to the final, where he was defeated by Phil Taylor. Scott Mitchell (darts Player)
Scott Mitchell (born 5 June 1970) is an English professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation tournaments. His most notable achievement was winning the 2015 BDO World Darts Championship. Darts career Early career Before he made his mark in the BDO, Mitchell qualified for the 2007 UK Open, winning his first round match 8–4 against Brian Cathcart before losing out in the second round to 2006 Lakeside World champion Jelle Klaasen. Mitchell won the England Classic and Swiss Open in 2009 which helped him qualify for the 2010 BDO World Championship as the 14th seed. Wayne Warren
Wayne Warren (born 12 June 1962) is a Welsh professional darts player who plays in events of the World Darts Federation (WDF). He was the last ever BDO World Darts Champion. He is the oldest player to become world champion. Darts career BDO Warren qualified for the 2005 BDO World Darts Championship, where he was the only Welshman in the field. He lost 3–0 in the first round to third seed Mervyn King. Ben Hazel (born 22 May 1990) is a professional English darts player, who is currently playing in World Darts Federation events. Career In May 2018, Hazel won the Vilnius Open, he beat Łukasz Wacławski in the final. In 2019, he reached Quarter-Finals in both the Swedish and Belfry Open. Dave Parletti (born 22 April 1983) is an English professional darts player who plays in events of the World Darts Federation. Career In 2017, Parletti won the Jersey Classic. Kyle McKinstry (born 26 August 1986) is a Northern Irish professional darts player who is currently serving an eight-year ban from the sport after admitting to match fixing in 2020. Career In 2017, McKinstry won the Hal Masters and the Northern Ireland Open. The 2019 BDO World Professional Darts Championship was the 42nd World Championship organised by the British Darts Organisation, and the 34th and final staging at the Lakeside Country Club at Frimley Green. Glen Durrant was the two-time defending men's champion after beating Mark McGeeney, 7–6 in the previous year's final.
