Chris Grant (footballer)
Christopher Lee Grant (born 13 December 1972) is a former Australian rules football player in the Australian Football League, a legend of the Western Bulldogs and a member of the Australian Football Hall of Fame. He was born in Daylesford, Victoria, Australia. AFL career Grant was recruited by the Footscray Football Club (now Western Bulldogs) in the 1988 VFL Draft at pick number 105, and played his first AFL game in 1990 at the age of 17. Grant kicked 51 goals that season, the youngest player in VFL-AFL history to achieve this feat, to be the leading goalkicker for the club. Over the following years, Grant established himself as a respected player in the half-forward position. He earned All-Australian honours in 1994 and 1996. Daylesford, Victoria
Daylesford is a spa town located in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range, within the Shire of Hepburn, Victoria, Australia, approximately 108 kilometres north-west of Melbourne. First established in 1852 as a gold-mining town, today Daylesford has a population of 2,548 as of the 2016 census. As one of Australia’s few spa towns, Daylesford is a notable tourist destination. Nick Holland
Nick Holland (born 29 July 1974) is a former professional Australian rules football player who played 179 games for Australian Football League (AFL) club Hawthorn between 1994 and 2005, serving as Vice Captain between 1999 and 2003. Holland is an AFL Rising Star Award winner, a best and fairest and leading goal kicker at Hawthorn and represented Australia in International Rules. He is now CEO of the EJ Whitten Foundation. The 1992 AFL season was the 96th season of the Australian Football League (AFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Australia, which was known as the Victorian Football League until 1989. The season featured fifteen clubs, ran from 21 March until 26 September, and comprised a 22-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top six clubs. Isabella Grant (born 21 September 2001) is an Australian rules footballer playing for in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She was drafted with the forty-seventh selection in the 2020 AFL Women's draft by the under the Father-daughter rule. She was educated at Caulfield Grammar School. Early football Grant began her junior career at Spotswood Football Club in the Western Region Football League in 2016. She played in the Under 15 girls division, and then continued playing for the next four years, where she won three premierships and a best and fairest medal, won while playing in the Under 15s division. She kicked 12 goals for her club in 2017, the highest out of anyone playing in the team. She was also nominated for the U18 best and fairest award in 2017.
