Chris Drake (tennis)
Chris Drake (born January 5, 1981) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Biography Originally from Boston, he is the son of former professional tennis player Bill Drake. His father was also a coach for highly ranked players including Tim Mayotte, Bud Schultz and Barbara Potter. It was at the age of 13 he began to concentrate on tennis, after previously also playing little-league baseball and soccer. Drake played collegiate tennis at Brown University Bears while studying for a degree in modern American history. In 2001 he and teammate Ben Brier played the Bryan brothers in the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships in Newport, an ATP Tour tournament. By the time he graduated from Brown University in 2003 he had amassed 104 singles and 90 doubles wins. A two-time Bears captain, he led the team to its first-ever Ivy League Championship in 2002. Tennis
Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles). Each player uses a tennis racket that is strung with cord to strike a hollow rubber ball covered with felt over or around a net and into the opponent's court. The object of the game is to manoeuvre the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a valid return. The player who is unable to return the ball validly will not gain a point, while the opposite player will. Tennis is an Olympic sport and is played at all levels of society and at all ages. Rogier Wassen
Rogier Wassen (born 9 August 1976) is a Dutch tennis player who competed regularly on the ATP Tour primarily as a doubles player. Wassen reached his highest doubles ranking on the ATP Tour on 10 September 2007 when he became World No. 24. The right-hander has won three ATP doubles titles. The Heineken Open in Auckland, New Zealand, in 2006 and 2007 teaming up with Andrei Pavel and Jeff Coetzee respectively. In 2007 he won the Ordina Open in 's-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands, again with Jeff Coetzee. Goran Dragicevic
Goran Dragicevic (born December 13, 1983) is an American former professional tennis player. Early life Dragicevic, a native of Bosnia, moved to the United States as a late teenager. He came to the United States via Germany, where he had lived as a refugee for eight years, training at the Niki Pilic Tennis Academy in Oberschleißheim. His family had connections to New Port Richey through an uncle and settled in Florida. Scott Lipsky
Scott Lipsky (born August 14, 1981 in Merrick, New York) is an American former professional tennis player and coach. As a player, Lipsky was primarily a doubles specialist. As a junior, Lipsky was ranked No. 1 in the U.S. in singles in 1995, and No. 1 in doubles for three straight years, in 1995–97. He won USTA national singles championships at both the 1995 Boys' 14s Clay Court Championships and the 1997 Boys' 16s Clay Court Championships. In doubles, he and Jeremy Wurtzman won the USTA national 1996 and 1997 Boys' 16s Championships, and the 1999 Boys' 18s Clay Court Championships. Mirko Pehar (born 5 August 1980) is a retired American tennis player. Pehar has a career high ATP singles ranking of 582 achieved on 22 April 2002. Cecil Valdeavilla Mamiit (born June 27, 1976) is a former tennis player from the United States who went on to represent the Philippines. He began his professional career in 1996 and reached his highest individual ranking in the ATP Tour on October 11, 1999 as World No. 72. In 1996, he won the NCAA singles championship as an USC freshman, a feat that had not been achieved since John McEnroe attended Stanford University in 1978. André Rezende Sá (; born 6 May 1977) is a former Brazilian tennis player. In singles, he was a Wimbledon quarterfinalist in 2002. Sá reached the semifinals of ATP tournaments in Memphis and Hong Kong in 2000 and 2001 respectively. He reached a career-high doubles ranking of world No. 17, winning 11 doubles titles. Ramón Delgado (; born 14 November 1976) is a Paraguayan retired tennis player and current tennis coach. He turned professional in 1995 and achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 52 in April 1999. He reached the final at Bogotá in 1998 and the fourth round of the 1998 French Open, defeating Pete Sampras in the second round.
