Lubbock, Texas
Lubbock ( ) is the 10th-most populous city in the U.S. state of Texas and the seat of government of Lubbock County. With a population of 260,993 in 2021, the city is also the 85th-most populous in the United States. Glenn Weiner (born April 27, 1976) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Career Weiner won his first match on the ATP Tour in 1997, at the Infiniti Open, where he defeated Bob Bryan. Despite being ranked 280th in the world coming into the tournament, Weiner came close to beating the previous year's Wimbledon winner, Richard Krajicek, in the second round. He had four match points, but was unable to convert any of them and lost in a third set tie break. Just weeks later, Weiner upset world number 36 Thomas Johansson at Indianapolis. Tennis career Bogomolov's father, Alex Sr., was a former Soviet national tennis coach who worked with Larisa Neiland, Yevgeny Kafelnikov, and Andrei Medvedev. Artem Yurievich Sitak ( ; russian: Артём Юрьевич Ситак, Artyom Sitak; born 8 February 1986) is a Russian-born New Zealand professional tennis player. On 11 August 2008, he reached his highest ATP singles ranking of World No. 299, whilst his highest doubles ranking of World No. 32 was reached on 10 September 2018, after the US Open. Roman Borvanov (born 31 March 1982) is a professional tennis player who represents Moldova. He played NCAA collegiate tennis at the University of Portland. Rik de Voest (born 5 June 1980) is a former professional South African tennis player. He achieved his career-high singles ranking of world No. 110 in August 2006. Scott Lipsky (born August 14, 1981 in Merrick, New York) is an American former professional tennis player and coach. As a player, Lipsky was primarily a doubles specialist. As a junior, Lipsky was ranked No. 1 in the U.S. in singles in 1995, and No. 1 in doubles for three straight years, in 1995–97. He won USTA national singles championships at both the 1995 Boys' 14s Clay Court Championships and the 1997 Boys' 16s Clay Court Championships. In doubles, he and Jeremy Wurtzman won the USTA national 1996 and 1997 Boys' 16s Championships, and the 1999 Boys' 18s Clay Court Championships. Chris Drake (born January 5, 1981) is a former professional tennis player from the United States. Biography Originally from Boston, he is the son of former professional tennis player Bill Drake. His father was also a coach for highly ranked players including Tim Mayotte, Bud Schultz and Barbara Potter. It was at the age of 13 he began to concentrate on tennis, after previously also playing little-league baseball and soccer. Drake played collegiate tennis at Brown University Bears while studying for a degree in modern American history.
