Chengdu Meishi International School () is a school in Chengdu, China. Opened in 2002, the school offers American and Chinese curricula as well as the IB Diploma Programme. The school is an authorized education provider for the U.S. State Department, Indian and French employees. History In fall 2000, a Chinese coupleYang De-ming and Grace Chen Qi, a Chinese couple who had spent many years living in the United States, returned to China to invest in and found Chengdu Meishi International School. With the backing of Meishi Group and the Chinese government, and after nearly two years of planning, a campus with a blend of the East and the West's architectural styles was opened. IB Diploma Programme
The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a two-year educational programme primarily aimed at 16-to-19-year-olds in 140 countries around the world. The programme provides an internationally accepted qualification for entry into higher education and is recognized by many universities worldwide. It was developed in the early-to-mid-1960s in Geneva, Switzerland, by a group of international educators. After a six-year pilot programme that ended in 1975, a bilingual diploma was established. The North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA), also known as the North Central Association, was a membership organization, consisting of colleges, universities, and schools in 19 U.S. states engaged in educational accreditation.
