Charlie Wellings
Charlie Louise Wellings (born 18 May 1998) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Women's Super League club Reading. Wellings has previously played for Birmingham City and Bristol City of the Women's Super League and Celtic of the Scottish Women's Premier League. Club career Birmingham City On 24 March 2015, Wellings signed her first senior contract at Birmingham City WFC. Wellings made her debut on 2 July 2014 during a WSL Cup match against Oxford United, coming on as a 75th-minute substitute replacing Karen Carney. Wellings did not make her league debut until the 2015 FA WSL where she started against Liverpool F.C. Women in a 2–1 loss. Wellings' first goal was in a 7–1 win against Aston Villa in the WSL Cup, scoring in the 91st minute. The 2017 FA Women's Cup Final was the 47th final of the FA Women's Cup, England's primary cup competition for women's football teams. 2017–18 FA WSL
The 2017–18 FA WSL was the seventh edition of the FA WSL since it was formed in 2010. It was the first season of WSL which ran as a winter league. It started in September 2017 and ended in May 2018, with ten teams competing in both leagues. The Football Association removed promotion and relegation between the two tiers for the end of the season. The league was instead restructured, with clubs required to apply for licenses under new criteria for the top tier in the 2018–19 season. The FA WSL Spring Series was an interim edition of the FA WSL between the sixth and seventh full seasons. The Spring Series ran from February to May 2017 to bridge the gap from the 2016 FA WSL season which ran from March to September as a summer tournament, and the 2017–18 season which started in September 2017. While the 2017–18 season planned to feature 21 clubs, the Spring Series contained 20. The 2016 FA WSL was the sixth edition of the FA WSL since it was formed in 2010. The WSL 1 was expanded to nine teams. The 2014 FA WSL was the fourth season of the FA WSL, the top-level women's football league of England. The season began on 30 March and ended on 12 October. Liverpool L.F.C. are the defending champions from the 2013 FA WSL. The top two teams qualify for the 2015–16 UEFA Women's Champions League. Beginning in the 2014 season, the WSL added a second division, the WSL 2. Because the divisions are interconnected, WSL 1 teams face the risk of relegation for the first time in the league's history. Tanya Helen Oxtoby (born 15 June 1982) is an Australian soccer coach and former player, who is an assistant coach for Women's Super League club Chelsea.
