Charles Sellon
Charles A. Sellon (August 24, 1870 – June 26, 1937) was an American stage and film actor. Sellon appeared in more than 100 films and stage acts between 1901 and 1935. He played the blind Mr. Muckle in W. C. Fields' comedy ''It's a Gift'' (1934) and the wheelchair-using uncle in '' Bright Eyes'' (1934) with Shirley Temple. His other films included ''The Mighty'', ''The Painted Desert'', and ''Tracked in the Snow Country''. On Broadway, Sellon appeared in ''The Challenge'' (1919), ''Roads of Destiny'' (1918), ''The Pawn'' (1917), and ''The Cat and the Fiddle'' (1907). Sellon was married to Florence E. Willis from 1896 until his death. They had one child together: a son, Robert Charles Sellon. ''Bulldog Drummond'' is a 1929 American pre-Code crime film in which Hugh "Bulldog" Drummond helps a beautiful young woman in distress. The film stars Ronald Colman as the title character, Claud Allister, Lawrence Grant, Montagu Love, Wilson Benge, Joan Bennett, and Lilyan Tashman. Produced by Samuel Goldwyn and directed by F. Richard Jones, the movie was adapted by Sidney Howard from the play by H. C. McNeile (credited onscreen as "Sapper"). Colman was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, and William Cameron Menzies for Best Art Direction. The Man And The Moment
''The Man and the Moment'' is a formerly lost 1929 part-talkie romantic comedy film directed by George Fitzmaurice and starring Billie Dove. The film is mainly a silent film, with talking sequences as well as a synchronized music score and sound effects by the Vitaphone sound-on-disc process. In the restored print, many scenes feature intertitles shown immediately after the spoken dialogue conveying the same words. Title cards at the beginning of the restored print explain that the visuals for the talking sequences came from a dupe internegative that was distributed in some territories in silent form; the intertitles were left in the sequences during the restoration to maintain synchronization with the Vitaphone soundtrack, but were not originally part of the film.
