Charlemont, Victoria
Charlemont is a suburb of Geelong, Victoria, Australia. At the 2021 census, Charlemont had a population of 2,612, growing from 364 taken at the 2016 census. It was gazetted in February 2012 as part of the Armstrong Creek Growth Area, from largely undeveloped land which had formerly been part of Grovedale and Marshall. The Charlemont Rise residential development in the suburb contains several streets named after characters and locations from the '' Game of Thrones'' television series and George R. R. The City of Greater Geelong is a local government area in the Barwon South West region of Victoria, Australia, located in the western part of the state. It covers an area of and, had a population of 271,057 as of the 2021 Australian census. Armstrong Creek Growth Area
The Armstrong Creek Growth Area is a southern extension to the urban growth boundary of the metropolitan area of Geelong, Victoria, Australia. It comprises parts of the localities of Grovedale and Marshall south of the Warrnambool railway line, and parts of the localities of Mount Duneed and Connewarre from some distance to the north of Lower Duneed Road and generally to the west of Barwon Heads Road. The area is named for Armstrong Creek (formerly Armstrong's Creek) which flows from west to east across it; the creek was named after Scottish settler John Armstrong whose property included the creek. The 2021 Australian census, simply called the 2021 Census, was the eighteenth national Census of Population and Housing in Australia. The 2021 Census took place on 10 August 2021, and was conducted by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). Moolap is a residential and industrial suburb of Geelong, Victoria, Australia. The name Moolap is derived from an Aboriginal word for nearby Point Henry, moo-laa, thought to mean 'men gathering to go fishing'. Moolap is located in the City of Greater Geelong. At the 2016 census Moolap had a population of 1,373. South Barwon is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Victoria.
