Chandrajit Banerjee
Chandrajit Banerjee is the Director General of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and member of a number of government advisory bodies at national and international levels. As DG of CII, he is responsible for leading and contributing to many policy level dialogues and discussions to enhance the competitiveness of India Inc and towards the development of India. He has been with the CII since 1987 and has served as its Director General since 2008. In this post, he is responsible for the overall operations of CII. Education Chandrajit Banerjee is a post-graduate in economics with specialisation in economics of planning and econometrics from the University of Calcutta. Indian Institute Of Management
The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) are central government-owned-public business schools for management offering undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and executive programmes along with some additional courses in the field of business administration. The establishment of IIMs was initiated by Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of India, based on the recommendation of the Planning Commission of India. IIMs were declared institutions of national importance by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) after the passage of Indian Institutes of Management Act, 2017.
