Challenge Tour
The Challenge Tour is the second-tier men's professional golf tour in Europe. It is operated by the PGA European Tour and, as with on the main European Tour and the European Senior Tour, some of the events are played outside Europe. History The tour was introduced in 1986 and was initially called the ''Satellite Tour''. The Order of Merit was introduced in 1989, with the top five players on it winning membership of the European Tour for the following season. The following year the tour was renamed the Challenge Tour. Up to 1993 the Challenge Tour rankings were based on each player's best several results, but since 1994 it has been a straightforward money list, with all results counting. Players who are successful on the Challenge Tour qualify for membership of the European Tour the following year. Twenty players earn direct promotion to the European Tour. Stroke play, also known as medal play, is a scoring system in the sport of golf in which the total number of strokes is counted over one or more rounds of 18 holes. In stroke play, the winner is the player who has taken the fewest strokes over the course of the round, or rounds. Brooks Koepka (, born May 3, 1990) is an American professional golfer who plays on the LIV Golf tour. In October 2018, he became world number one in the Official World Golf Ranking for 47 weeks after winning the 2018 CJ Cup. Callum Ronald Shinkwin (born 22 May 1993) is an English professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Amateur career Shinkwin was a successful amateur golfer. In 2010 he won the Carris Trophy, the English Boys' under-18 open amateur stroke play championship, at Woodhall Spa. Alessandro Tadini
Alessandro Tadini (born 30 November 1973) is an Italian professional golfer. Career Tadini was born in Borgomanero and turned professional in 1994. He qualified for the European Tour for 2003 after his sixth visit to qualifying school. He was unable to win enough money during his rookie season to retain his card and dropped down to the second tier Challenge Tour. In 2004 he finished second on the Challenge Tour Rankings to graduate back to the top level. He retained his card through the end of the 2007 season when he again fell back to the Challenge Tour.
