Catherine Smaill
Catherine Smaill (born 28 April 1991) is a Scottish woman cricketer. She made her international cricket debut for Scotland in the 2008 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier at the age of 17. Smaill is currently serving as a physiotherapist for some of the current disability cricket teams especially for the England physically disabled cricket team. She was instrumental in England's triumph in the inaugural edition of the International physical disability cricket tournament held in Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2015. The Scotland women's national cricket team, nicknamed the Wildcats, represents Scotland in international women's cricket. The 2008 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier was an eight-team tournament held in South Africa in February 2008 to decide the final two qualifiers for the 2009 Women's Cricket World Cup. South Africa and Pakistan qualified, with the hosts beating Pakistan in the final. Pre-tournament The 2007 tournament was due to be played in Lahore, Pakistan in November 2007 but was postponed owing to the state of emergency in Pakistan, and subsequently shifted to South Africa, where was played in February 2008. The ICRC International T20 Cricket Tournament was a five-team Twenty20 cricket competition for people with physical disabilities. It was held from 2–10 September 2015 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
