Cassie Campbell-Pascall
Cassie Dawin Campbell-Pascall (born November 22, 1973) is a former Canadian ice hockey player and a current broadcaster for Sportsnet and ESPN. Born in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Campbell grew up in Brampton, Ontario, playing for the Brampton Canadettes. She was the captain of the Canadian women's ice hockey team during the 2002 Winter Olympics and led the team to a gold medal. The left winger took on the role of captain again in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy, and again successfully led her team to a gold medal with a 4 – 1 win over Sweden. Cassie was also captain of the Calgary Oval X-Treme, a team in the Western Women's Hockey League. Campbell has also played for the Toronto Aeros and the Mississauga Chiefs. Campbell has done modeling, and hosted women's hockey segments on TSN's hockey broadcasts. Winger (ice Hockey)
Winger, in the game of ice hockey, is a forward position of a player whose primary zone of play is along the outer playing areas. They typically flank the centre forward. Originally the name was given to forward players who went up and down the sides of the rink. Wingers generally have the least defensive responsibilities out of any position on the ice, however they are still tasked with defensive duties such as forechecking duties or covering the point in the defensive zone. Nowadays, there are different types of wingers in the game — out-and-out goal scorers, checkers who disrupt the opponents, and forwards who work along the boards and in the corners. 2001 IIHF Women's World Championship
The 2001 IIHF Women's World Championships was held April 2–8, 2001 in six cities in the state of Minnesota. Susan Fennell
Susan Fennell is a Canadian politician, who served as the mayor of Brampton, Ontario from 2000 to 2014. She was also the founder and commissioner of the National Women's Hockey League. Her time as mayor of Brampton was characterized by spending controversies and contention. Background In 1953, Susan Fennell was born Susan Biefer in Saint-Laurent, a borough of Montreal, Quebec. North Park Secondary School
North Park Secondary School is a public high school located at the major intersection of Williams Parkway and North Park Drive in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. It was founded in 1978, making it one of the oldest high schools in the area. North Park is best known for being one of three high schools in Brampton to offer the IBT program, a program using business and technology to enrich the learning of its students. ''TSN Hockey'' (formerly the ''NHL on TSN'' and ''The NHL Tonight on TSN'') is the blanket title used by TSN's broadcasts of the National Hockey League. After holding the Canadian national cable rights to the NHL from 1985 to 1998 and again from 2002 to 2014, it was announced in November 2013 that TSN and Bell Media had lost these rights to Rogers Communications and Sportsnet as part of an exclusive, twelve-year media rights deal that took effect in the 2014–15 NHL season.
