Casiotone For The Painfully Alone Albums
Casiotone was a series of home electronic keyboards made by Casio in the early 1980s. Casio promoted the Casiotone 201 (CT-201) as "the first electronic keyboard with full-size keys that anyone could afford". The name "Casiotone" disappeared from Casio's keyboard catalog when more accurate synthesis technologies became prevalent, but the brand was reused for new models launched in 2019. The first Casiotone keyboards used a sound synthesis technique known as vowel-consonant synthesis to approximate the sounds of other instruments (albeit not very accurately). Most Casiotone keyboards were small, with miniature keys designed for children's fingers, and were not intended for use by professional musicians; they usually contained a rhythm generator, with several user-selectable rhythm patterns, and often the means to automatically play accompaniments. Tom Miller (born 1976) is an American musician and visual artist from Las Vegas, Nevada best known as the lead singer and co-creator of Black Camaro. Miller shares songwriting duties with co-creator Brian Garth, while also providing the visual aesthetic for Black Camaro's album art and live concert posters. Casio electronic musical keyboards were first manufactured in June 1979 and continue to be made by Casio today. The original Casiotone line was abbreviated to CT in the mid-1980s but has continued to feature full-sized keys. MT and PT lines typically feature mini keys and the VL line features push-button keys. Most Casio keyboards feature automated accompaniment sections which may include drums, bass, chords and harmonies. Many Casio keyboards can be run on both mains electricity and battery power. Hedluv + Passman are a rap duo from Redruth, Cornwall. They perform "Casio rap", a genre where lyrics are laid over simple homemade beats. Their song "the future!" was used in the opening credits to Rhys Darby's comedy series ''Short Poppies''. Launching in 2007, the duo were quick to make the BBC Radio 1 playlist and, after touring in Brazil in 2008, played Glastonbury Festival in 2009. Trio was a German band also known as ZAM in Europe, formed in the town of Großenkneten in 1979. The band is most known for the 1982 song "Da Da Da" which was a hit in 30 countries worldwide. Turnstyle are an indie rock band from Perth, in Western Australia. They are known for their use of cheap Casio keyboards, jazz instruments and lo-fi recording techniques. Maurizio Arcieri (30 April 1942 – 29 January 2015) was an Italian singer who was a member of 1960s Italian beat band the New Dada, and 1970s/'80s band Krisma. Career In the spring of 1967, the New Dada supported the Beatles at their Milan concert. The group eventually split. Some members of the New Dada followed Maurizio as supporting group. "Ballerina" and "Il comizio" were released.
