Carsten Almqvist
Casten Åke Loritz Almqvist, (born 17 March 1962 in Stockholm), was the Swedish CEO for TV4 Media 2011-2022. December 2019-2022 he was also part of Telia Company's group executive management team leading the business area TV/Media. During the fall of 2021, Casten Almqvist was appointed chairman of the board at Bonnier Books that owns Bonnierförlagen in Sweden, WSOY in Finland, Bonnier Media Deutschland as well as BookBeat, among other. Bonnier Books is operating in seven countries and have a revenue of around 7 billion SEK. In 2008 he became CEO of Dagens Industri and Bonnier Business Press. In 2011 he was appointed CEO of TV4 and in 2013 head of the business area Bonnier Broadcasting, extending the scope to also include C More and Finish MTV Media. He was appointed "Digital Change Leader of the Year" in 2016 due to his work with accelerating the digital transformation at TV4 and Bonnier Broadcasting. MTV3 ( fi, MTV Kolme, sv, MTV Tre) is a Finnish commercial television station. It had the biggest audience share of all Finnish TV channels until Yle TV1 (from Yle) took the lead. The letters MTV stand for Mainos-TV (literally "Advertisement-TV", i.e. "Commercial TV), due to the channel carrying advertising for revenue. TV3 (''TV tre'') is a Swedish pay television channel owned by Viaplay Group. It was launched on 31 December 1987 by businessman Jan Stenbeck. The channel was initially broadcast across all of Scandinavia. In 1990, separate Danish and Norwegian feeds were launched. TV6 (Sweden)
TV6 is a Swedish television channel broadcasting owned by Viaplay Group. It has origins in the youth channel ZTV that started broadcasting in the early 1990s. In 2004, MTG started repositioning the channel by introducing sports broadcasts and other programming that mainly targeted men. In February 2006, MTG received a license to broadcast a channel called TV6 on terrestrial television. This channel would take over virtually all ZTV programming, except the music videos that ZTV showed during the day. TV6 launched in May 2006 and simultaneously replaced ZTV in most cable networks. When ZTV was rebranded as TV6, a new ZTV channel started that only showed music videos. ZTV (Sweden)
ZTV was a Swedish television channel owned by Viasat (Nordic television service), Viasat. Launched in February 1991, as a daily afternoon show on TV3 (Sweden), TV3 and TV4 (Sweden), TV4, it became a channel of its own on Swedish cable networks in May 1992. The intention was to create a Swedish version of MTV and thus the focus was primarily on music. Since May 2006, most of its programming composed of music videos. ZTV's last day was August 1, 2010 for all customers except for Boxer and Com Hem, who continued to distribute the channel indefinitely in a limited version.
