Carnavas
''Carnavas'' is the debut studio album by alternative band Silversun Pickups. It was released on July 25, 2006. "Carnavas" is a surname from the Greek side of lead guitarist and vocalist Brian Aubert's family. Some suppliers were also given copies of ''The Tripwire Session: Live in Chicago'', a four-track EP. The album generated two successful singles on the US Modern Rock chart. " Lazy Eye" hit number 5 in 2007 and "Well Thought Out Twinkles" reached number 9 in 2008. ''Carnavas'' has sold more than 500,000 copies and was certified gold in the US on May 31, 2018. Artwork The CD cover for ''Carnavas'' is a slightly edited partial image of artist Darren Waterston's 2004 painting entitled ''Summit''. The inlay, also featured on the Silversun Pickups' website and Myspace page, is titled "Becoming Tree". Silversun Pickups is an American alternative rock band from Los Angeles that was formed in 2000. The band is composed of Brian Aubert, Nikki Monninger, Christopher Guanlao, and Joe Lester. The band released their debut EP, '' Pikul'', in July 2005, and their debut album, '' Carnavas'', on July 26, 2006. Their second album, '' Swoon'', was released on April 14, 2009. ''Neck of the Woods'', the band's third album, came out on May 8, 2012. They issued their fourth album, '' Better Nature'', on September 25, 2015. Lazy Eye (Silversun Pickups Song)
"Lazy Eye" is the third single from Silversun Pickups' debut album '' Carnavas,'' written by lead singer and guitarist Brian Aubert. The band performed the song on the '' Late Show with David Letterman'', ''The Tonight Show with Jay Leno'', '' Later With Jools Holland'', and ''Last Call with Carson Daly''. The song is a playable track on '' Rock Band 2'' and '' Guitar Hero: World Tour''. An alternate version of the song, with a length of 7:27, was played on XMU before the shorter version was played on FM and other XM channels. This version was featured on their demo CD (which featured early versions of four tracks). Music video The music video for "Lazy Eye" was directed by Suzie Vlcek and produced by Eric Morgan. Dangerbird Records is an independent record label in Los Angeles, California. The label is home to artists from around the world and part of the burgeoning Silver Lake music scene. The label has had international success from its small roster of artists including Silversun Pickups, Fitz and the Tantrums, Sebadoh, Minus the Bear, and The Frights History The two founders represented different roles in the music industry. Jeff Castelaz had managed Feist, Phoenix, Citizen King, and others, while Peter Walker was a singer-songwriter. The label's first release: Walker's solo album ''Landed''.
