Carlos Ruiz Chapellín
Carlos Ruiz Chapellín (Caracas, 1865—August 1912) was a Venezuelan showman, filmmaker and performer. He is remembered for creating slapstick comedy films in the late 19th century. Theatre producer and showman Ruiz's first business was in putting on popular shows, a pursuit he never gave up through his filmmaking efforts. Filmmaking In 1897, shortly after it opened, Ruiz rented the Circo Metropolitano, where he would show zarzuelas and circus variety shows. He also planned to go into the film business after the release of the first Venezuelan films in Maracaibo in January 1897, forming a partnership with Ricardo Rouffet to create their own films. He also hired a man, W. O. Wolcopt from the United States, as part of this venture. Wolcopt brought a from New York, which was displayed in the Circo from 26 June to 14 July 1897. Carlos Ruiz Apezteguía (July 7, 1930, in Concepción, Paraguay – May 15, 1995, in Asuncion, Paraguay, was a Paraguayan journalist and entrepreneur. Life Born in the city of Concepción, Paraguay, his parents were Mr. Pedro Ruiz Gomez, Spanish son and director of the Spanish company Segura Latorre in Paraguay, and Mrs. Julia Apezteguía Casañas, daughter of Basque Spaniards. Carlos Ruiz Zafón (; 25 September 1964 – 19 June 2020) was a Spanish novelist known for his 2001 novel ''La sombra del viento'' ('' The Shadow of the Wind''). Biography Ruiz Zafón was born in Barcelona. His grandparents had worked in a factory and his father sold insurance. Ruiz Zafón began his working life in advertising. Carlos David Ruiz (born 10 November 1971) is an Argentine football manager and former player who played as a right back. Playing career Born in Buenos Aires, Ruiz started his professional career with Racing Club de Avellaneda in 1992, but he never played a league game with the club. The following year, 1993, he joined Arsenal de Sarandí, where he played ever since, making him one of the club's longest serving players of all time.
