Carlos Iaconelli
Carlos "Iaco" Iaconelli (born June 26, 1987) is a Brazilian racing car driver. Career He spent much of his early career in karting before moving into single-seaters in 2004, where he competed in both Brazilian Formula Renault and the South American Formula Three championship. In 2005 he contested six races in the Spanish Formula Three Championship, finishing the season 20th overall. Carlos also contested a handful of races in Italian Formula Renault and the Eurocup Formula Renault series as well as making his debut in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series for the Austrian team Interwetten.com. For 2006 Iaconelli raced in the Formula Renault 3.5 Series for three different teams - Eurointernational, Comtec Racing and GD Racing, taking part in twelve races but scoring no championship points. FIA Formula Two Championship (2009–2012)
The FIA Formula Two Championship was a One-Design, one-make class of auto racing for Formula Two open wheel car, open wheeled single seater racing cars. The championship was contested each year from 2009 to 2012. It was a revival of the former European Formula Two Championship that was previously run from 1967 to 1984. Organised by MotorSport Vision, drivers competed over 16 rounds at eight venues, in identical cars built by Williams Grand Prix Engineering, with 400 bhp engines developed by Mountune Racing and supplied by Audi. Formula Two was revived due to the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile's concern that the cost of competing in motor racing at a level to progress directly to Formula One was becoming unreachable for many participants, and the category was re-introduced as a lower-cost alternative for drivers. Comtec Racing is a motor racing team based in the United Kingdom. It competes in three championships — Formula Renault, World Series by Renault and the Auto GP World Series. Formula Renault 2.0 Italia was a Formula Renault 2.0 racing series that is based in Italy. The series raced mostly on Italian races but it had regular races at Belgium's Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and in Spain. The Euroformula Open Championship (formerly the Spanish Formula Three Championship, European F3 Open Championship) is a junior formula racing series based in Spain. It was one of six national and international Formula Three championships in Europe and Scandinavia that together used to form an important part of the established "career ladder" below Formula One.
