EuroInternational is a racing organization (which includes Italian division EuroInternational Srl and American division EuroInternational Inc.) owned by Antonio Ferrari, grandnephew of Enzo Ferrari, formerly known as Euromotorsport. History Originally known as Euromotorsport, the team made its CART debut in 1989 with Jean-Pierre Frey at Phoenix. After Frey was unable to complete the USAC Rookie Orientation Program at Indianapolis, the team signed Davy Jones, who qualified for the Indianapolis 500 and finished in 7th place in his only appearance for the team that year. The team went on to compete in the CART Indy Car World Series, often fielding a number of European pay drivers, from 1989 to 1994. The team's best finish was 4th place in the 1993 Detroit Grand Prix by Andrea Montermini. United States Formula Three Championship
The United States Formula Three Championship was a short-lived Formula Three championship contested in the United States and Canada. Sanctioned by the Sports Car Club of America, the series lasted for two seasons, 2000 and 2001. All teams used Volkswagen engines tuned by Bertils Racing Engines. The series was plagued by low car counts; no more than 6 cars contested races in the inaugural season. In 2001, fields were bolstered by Formula Ford, Formula Continental, and even Sports 2000 and historic Formula 5000 cars, as no race had more than 3 Formula Three cars on the grid. 14 of the series' 19 races were won by Brazilian driver Luciano Gomide. 2012 JK Racing Asia Series Season
The 2012 JK Racing Asia Series season was the ninth season of the former Formula BMW Pacific series, and the second under its new name of the JK Racing Asia Series. 2011 JK Racing Asia Series Season
The 2011 JK Racing Asia Series was the first season of the rebranded Formula BMW Pacific Series, which ran for seven seasons in Asia. The championship began on 9 April in Sepang and was scheduled to finish on 30 October in India after eighteen races held at six meetings. However, due to unexpected cancellations, the final meeting was held on 4 December in Sepang. Nine teams fielded 28 full-time and guest drivers during the tour. Austrian rookie Lucas Auer, the nephew of Formula 1 driver Gerhard Berger became the 2011 JK Racing Asia Series Driver Champion with 292 points after scoring 17 podium finishes from 18 races with 7 wins. His nearest competitor, Afiq Ikhwan, took 10 wins during the whole season, equalling the record previously set by Jazeman Jaafar, but only managed second overall with 285 points. Formula BMW
Formula BMW was a junior racing formula for single seater cars. It was positioned at the bottom of the motorsport career ladder alongside the longer established Formula Ford category. Like Formula Ford, it was intended to function as the young kart racing graduate's first experience of car racing. The new formula was created by BMW Motorsport in 2001, with the first of its championships being inaugurated in Germany in 2002. Selected competitors from each series meet in the World Final at the end of each season, with the promise of a Formula One test for the winner. From 2011 onwards BMW ceased to support the Pacific and Europe series, in favour of the Formula BMW Talent Cup. The Talent Cup, which was the final Formula BMW championship in existence, ended after the 2013 season. Mike Groff
Michael Dennis Groff (born November 16, 1961 in Van Nuys, California) is a former race car driver who competed in CART and the IRL IndyCar Series and was the 1989 Indy Lights champion. His younger brother Robbie was also a CART and IRL driver from 1994 to 1998. Racing career Formula Super Vee and Indy Lights Groff made his professional debut in 1984 competing in the Valvoline/Robert Bosche Formula Super Vee series. He finished third in the series in 1985 and second in 1986. In 1986 he also made his American Racing Series debut (later renamed Indy Lights). Driving for a family team, he captured wins at the Milwaukee Mile and Road America and finished third in points. In 1987 he won at Nazareth Speedway and finished fifth in points. In 1988 he only competed in three Indy Lights races for three different teams, but finished second at Nazareth. JK Racing Asia Series
JK Racing Asia Series, formerly known as both Formula BMW Asia and Formula BMW Pacific, was a single-seater racing series based in Asia. Formula BMW Asia was created in 2003 as a replacement for Asian Formula 2000 and was under the management of Motorsport Asia Limited. It was renamed Formula BMW Pacific for the 2008 season. In 2011 the series lost BMW support but received JK Tyre sponsorship and was rebranded as JK Racing Asia Series. Event schedule Each event in the championship was normally run to a three-day schedule. Andrea Montermini
Andrea Montermini (born 30 May 1964) is an Italian racing driver. Career Montermini raced in Formula 3 in 1989, taking second place in the Monaco GP support race and 4th in the Italian F3 Championship. He then moved up to Formula 3000, racing for three seasons before finally taking second place in the 1992 season, winning three rounds while driving for the Il Barone Rampante team. He participated in 29 Formula One Grands Prix, debuting on 29 May 1994 for Simtek, replacing Roland Ratzenberger, who had been killed during qualifying for the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. Montermini himself crashed heavily in practice for the 1994 Spanish Grand Prix, breaking his left heel and his right foot. Marcos Siebert (born 16 March 1996 in Mar del Plata) is an Argentine racing driver. He was the Italian F4 champion for the 2016 season. Career Karting Born in Mar del Plata, Siebert began karting in 2004 at the age of eight, his highlights of his karting career being a second and third at the 2005 and 2006 editions of the Promocional karting events. Lower Formulae Siebert graduated to single-seaters in 2011, spending two seasons in Formula Metropolitan, finishing 12th in the 2012 season.
