Carl Hopkinson
Carl Hopkinson (born 14 September 1981) is a former English cricketer and current coach. He was a right-handed batsman (cricket), batsman and a right-arm Seam bowling, medium pace bowler. He was also an extremely talented fielder. Born in Sussex, he attended Brighton College and played for Lewes Priory Cricket Club. Playing for Sussex County Cricket Club, Sussex since the beginning of his career, he was given their young player of the year award in 2000, and the following year he made his one-day debut. He played in his first National League match against Scottish cricket team, Scotland in 2003, bowling a spell of 3/19 and scoring 67 with the bat. In 2005 he factored more often into the Sussex team, and top scored with 64. In 2006 he helped Sussex win the double, and then in 2007 he played a part in Sussex's County Championship win. Brighton
Brighton () is a seaside resort and one of the two main areas of the City of Brighton and Hove in the county of East Sussex, England. It is located south of London. Lewes Priory Cricket Club
Lewes Priory is a cricket club based in Lewes, England. The club is based at the Stanley Turner Ground, Kingston road, Lewes. The Saturday 1st XI plays in the 2nd division of the Sussex Cricket League. The Saturday 2nd XI plays in the 2nd XI Division 2 of the Sussex Cricket League. The Saturday 3rd XI plays in Division 9 of the East Sussex Cricket League. There is also a Sunday XI and an occasional midweek XI that play friendly matches. Seam Bowling
Seam bowling is a bowling technique in cricket whereby the ball is deliberately bowled on to its seam, to cause a random deviation when the ball bounces. Practitioners are known as ''seam bowlers'' or seamers. Seam bowling is generally classed as a subtype of fast bowling, although the bowling speeds at which seam can be a factor include medium-pace bowling.
