Capital High School, Bhubaneswar
Capital High School, located in Bhubaneswar, is one of the oldest schools in the Indian state of Odisha and was established in 1951. The school is situated in unit-III near Ram Mandir and is adjacent to St. Joseph's High School and The Blind School. It is affiliated to the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha under State Government of Odisha. Ganesh Chandra Mishra was the first headmaster of the school and he took charge on 16 July 1951. After Mishra, many other teachers such as Laxman Kara and Sarat Chandra Basu have taken over the charge of Headmaster of this school and lead the school to more successes. Capital High School is a three-year public secondary school in Boise, Idaho, United States. Opened in the fall of 1965, it was the third of four public high schools constructed in the Boise School District, and serves its northern portion. The other high schools are Boise (1902) in the east, Borah (1958) in the southwest, and Timberline (1998) in the southeast. The Capital High boundary includes sections of Eagle and Garden City. Athletics Capital competes in athletics in IHSAA Class 5A in the Southern Idaho Conference (5A) (SIC). The longtime rivals are Boise and Borah. Capital High School is a public high school located in Charleston, West Virginia, United States created from a consolidation of Charleston High School and Stonewall Jackson High School in 1989. History The original high school in the city was Charleston High School, locally known as "The High," serving the entire city. In 1940 the school had become overcrowded and the district was divided at the Elk River, with the west side of town attending the new Stonewall Jackson High School ("The Wall"). During the 1980s, enrollment at both schools dropped. In 1989, Capital High School opened, combining the students of these two longtime rivals. The name "Capital" derives from the fact that the school primarily serves the bulk of West Virginia's capital city, Charleston. The building was originally built in the 1960s as a Catholic high school, but closed following the graduation of the class of 1969. Capital High School (CHS), commonly referred to as Capital, is a public high school in Olympia, Washington, United States. It is one of two comprehensive high schools in the Olympia School District. Capital is located on Olympia's Westside, and serves the entire northwest corner of Thurston County. High School students from the Olympia School District and Griffin School District attend Capital. Building history Capital High School started remodeling the building in 2005 and it was completed on 2006 costing about $10.5 million.
