Cannock
Cannock () is a town in the Cannock Chase district in the county of Staffordshire, England. It had a population of 29,018. Cannock is not far from the towns of Walsall, Burntwood, Stafford and Telford. The cities of Lichfield and Wolverhampton are also nearby. Cannock lies to the north of the West Midlands conurbation on the M6 motorway, M6, A34 road (Great Britain), A34 and A5 road (Great Britain), A5 roads and to the south of Hednesford and the Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Cannock is served by Cannock railway station, a railway station on the Chase Line. Chase Line
The Chase Line is a suburban railway line in the West Midlands region of England. It runs from its southern terminus, Birmingham New Street, to Walsall, and then Rugeley in Staffordshire, where it joins the Trent Valley Line. The name of the line refers to Cannock Chase which it runs through at its northern end. Part of the line, between Birmingham and Walsall, has been electrified since the 1960s; work to electrify the remaining 15 mile stretch of line between Walsall and Rugeley, was completed in December 2018. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB; , AHNE) is an area of countryside in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, that has been designated for conservation due to its significant landscape value. Areas are designated in recognition of their national importance by the relevant public body: Natural England, Natural Resources Wales, and the Northern Ireland Environment Agency respectively. Bridgtown
Bridgtown is an industrial town and civil parish in the Cannock Chase District of Staffordshire, England. It is situated on the A5 between Cannock and Great Wyrley. There are multiple industrial and retail estates around the town as well as residential areas. There is now only one church in Bridgtown, the Bethel Church. There was one on Church Street but it is now used for commercial purposes. The Chase Line railway from Rugeley to Walsall passes the south of the town over the M6 Toll and A5, with the nearest station at Cannock. Most urbanised districts of England are either entirely or partly unparished. Cannock railway station serves the town of Cannock in the Cannock Chase, Staffordshire, England. It is situated on the Chase Line. Cannock Chase (), often referred to locally as The Chase, is a mixed area of countryside in the county of Staffordshire, England.
