Canardo (rapper)
Hakim Mouhid (born 22 September 1984 in Trappes, Yvelines), better known by his stage name Canardo, is a French rapper, singer, songwriter and music producer. After working with label "Banlieue Sale Music" since 2007, in 2011, he founded his own label "Henijai Music". He is the brother of fellow French rapper La Fouine. Career He is the youngest of seven children in an immigrant family. His father was a musician. He started rapping with the French rap band Trappiste La Smala and his first recording under his first name Hakim was "J'ai des dettes" on a street CD ''Planète Trappes Vol. 1'' released by his brother La Fouine. He produced La Fouine's album ''Aller-Retour'' in 2007. His first commercial success came with his "Capitale du Crime" in the mixtape ''Capitale du Crime 1'' followed by another success with "Hamdoulah moi ça va" asa duo with La Fouine and appearance in ''Capitale du Crime 2'' with "Iblis" and other featurings. Trappes
Trappes () is a commune in the Yvelines department, region of Île-de-France, north-central France. It is a banlieue located in the western suburbs of Paris, from the center of Paris, in the new town of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. Transport Trappes is served by Trappes station on the Transilien La Défense and Transilien Paris-Montparnasse suburban rail lines. Population Crime The suburb is known for gang violence and poverty. It also has Islamists among its large Muslim population, with 70 local people suspected of having left France to fight for the Islamic State, according to several sources. According to the French government, 67 people from Trappes have joined the Islamic State, and others have carried out attacks inside France. Originally known under the acronym SNICOP, the organisation was established in 1922 and has 48 member companies. Youssoupha Mabiki (born August 29, 1979), better known by his nickname Youssoupha () is a French rapper of Congolese descent. Early life and career He was born to a Congolese father, the musician and Congo-Kinshasa political figure Tabu Ley Rochereau and a Senegalese mother. After spending his childhood in Congo-Kinshasa, at the age of 10, he moved to France to live with relatives in Beziers, then Osny, Cergy and Sartrouville. Sniper (rapper)
Sniper is a French hip hop band formed in 1997 in Val-d'Oise. It currently consists of Tunisiano (Bachir Baccour), Aketo (Ryad Selmi) and Blacko. Afrikaf (Karl Appela) was also a member from the group's formation to 2004; Blacko had also left the band in 2007, but returned in 2016. Beginnings The members of Sniper first met at the 1997 Francofolies festival at La Rochelle. There, DJ Boudj and the three rappers Aketo, Tunisiano and Blacko met and decided to form the group, originally called Personnalité suspecte (Suspicious Character). This name was abbreviated to Persni and finally ended up as Sniper, an example of the French slang form, known as ''verlan''. The three members form a complementary group, as Aketo and El Tunisiano have developed more of a rap style and Blacko prefers an approach closer to reggae; meanwhile DJ Boudj takes care of the scratching.
