Camp Rabin
HaKirya, or The Kirya ( he, הַקִּרְיָה, ''lit.'' The Campus), is an area in central Tel Aviv, consisting of an urban military base north of Kaplan Street, and a civilian area south of it. HaKirya contains the Tel Aviv District's government center and the major Israel Defense Forces (IDF) base Camp Rabin ( he, מַחֲנֶה רַבִּין, ''Mahaneh Rabin''), named for Yitzhak Rabin. It was one of the first IDF bases and has served as the IDF's headquarters since its founding in 1948. Givati Brigade
The 84th "Givati" Brigade ( he, חֲטִיבַת גִּבְעָתִי, , "Hill Brigade" or "Highland Brigade") is an Israel Defense Forces infantry brigade. Keren HaKiriya Building Complex
The Keren HaKirya building complex is a proposed set of buildings in Tel Aviv, Israel. It will comprise 80-story and 50-story office towers and two 45-story residential towers that will stand above a two-story retail mall. It will be situated at the intersection of Begin Road and Sha'ul HaMelekh Street in the city's Midtown business district on an area of 38 dunams (9.5 acres). ''Bamahane'' (also ''BaMahane'', he, במחנה, ''lit.'' in the base camp) was a Hebrew-language weekly magazine published by the Israel Defense Forces. It was first published in December 1934 by the Haganah and was published as a weekly until December 2016, when it was moved online until it was formally merged into the IDF's website in January 2020. Dankal ( he, דנקל, commonly known as the Tel Aviv Light Rail) is a planned mass transit system for the Tel Aviv metropolitan area in central Israel. The system will include different modes of mass transit, including rapid transit (metro), light rail transit (LRT), and bus rapid transit (BRT). Overseen by the government agency NTA, the project will complement the intercity and suburban rail network operated by Israel Railways. As of 2021, three LRT lines are under construction. Marganit Tower
The Marganit Tower is a skyscraper located in HaKirya, Tel Aviv, Israel. Completed in 1987, the building is in height, although most of this is due to its "finger", a concrete mast with antennas and other transmission equipment. As such, it only has 17 floors. Now Israel's twelfth-tallest building, upon completion it was the country's second-tallest building. It was designed by ASSA Architects. Marganit Tower is slanted to the right-hand side, a fact that was discovered in the middle of construction on April 5, 1989. Matcal Tower
The Matcal Tower is a 17-floor high-rise building at Camp Rabin military base in the HaKirya quarter of Tel Aviv, Israel. It houses the headquarters of the Israel Ministry of Defense and offices of the IDF General Staff (Matcal in Hebrew). It was built in 2003, and is located close to another IDF building, the Marganit Tower, and across the road from the civilian Azrieli Center. The tower and the Azrieli Bridge connecting the base with the Azrieli Center were designed by Moore Yaski Sivan Architects. Kaplan Street
Kaplan Street is a major thoroughfare in central Tel Aviv, Israel, running from the Azrieli Center interchange on its eastern edge, to Ibn Gabirol Street on its western edge. History Named after Eliezer Kaplan, an important Israeli politician, the street connects the city center to the Ayalon Highway, and is one of the busiest streets in the city. Right next to it, lies the old Templer neighborhood of Sarona, which has undergone a major renovation programme, in addition to the street itself, which has been widened in recent years.
