Camille Prigent
Camille Prigent (born 18 December 1997) is a French slalom canoeist who has competed at the international level since 2013. She won two medals at the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships with a gold in the K1 team event in 2018 and a silver in kayak cross in 2023. She also won six medals at the European Championships (3 golds, 2 silvers and 1 bronze), including a gold in the K1 team event at the 2023 European Games in Kraków. Her father Jean-Yves is a former slalom canoeist and medalist from World Championships. Her older brother Yves is also a slalom canoeist and a medalist from World Championships. ICF World Junior And U23 Canoe Slalom Championships
The ICF World Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom Championships are an annual international canoeing and kayaking event organized by the International Canoe Federation (ICF). The Junior World Championships were first held in 1986 and then every two years until 2012. The Under-23 category has been added to the program in 2012. Canoe Slalom At The 2023 European Games
Canoe slalom events at the 2023 European Games were held at the Kraków-Kolna Canoe Slalom Course. A total of 10 medal events were contested, 5 for men and women each (C1, K1, Kayak cross, C1 team and K1 team). It was the first time that canoe slalom was in the program of European Games. The competition was also the 24th edition of the European Canoe Slalom Championships. Qualification Each NOC (National Olympic Committee) is allowed three quota spots in each individual event. The 2013 ICF World Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom Championships took place in Liptovský Mikuláš, Slovakia from 17 to 21 July 2013 under the auspices of the International Canoe Federation (ICF) at the Ondrej Cibak Whitewater Slalom Course. It was the 15th edition of the competition for Juniors (U18) and the 2nd edition for the Under 23 category. The 2017 European Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom Championships took place in Hohenlimburg, Germany from 17 to 20 August 2017 under the auspices of the European Canoe Association (ECA). It was the 19th edition of the competition for Juniors (U18) and the 15th edition for the Under 23 category. The men's C2 team events did not take place. The men's C2 junior event did not count as a medal event due to insufficient number of participating countries. An event must have at least 5 nations taking part in order to count as a medal event. The 2018 European Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom Championships took place in Bratislava, Slovakia from 16 to 19 August 2018 under the auspices of the European Canoe Association (ECA) at the Čunovo Water Sports Centre. It was the 20th edition of the competition for Juniors (U18) and the 16th edition for the Under 23 category. A total of 16 medal events took place, 8 in each of the two age categories. The European Junior and U23 Canoe Slalom Championships is an annual international canoeing and kayaking event organized by the European Canoe Association (ECA). The Junior Championships were first held in 1995 and then every two years until 2003. The Under-23 Championships were first held in 2002 as part of the senior championships that year.
