Francis Caldwell
Francis Caldwell CBE MVO KPM (1860 – 17 April 1934) was a British police officer who served as Head Constable of Liverpool City Police from 1912 to 1925. Caldwell was born in Croxteth to Francis Brown Caldwell, an accountant from Ayrshire, Scotland and James Caldwell from West Derby. He joined the Liverpool police as a clerk in 1879 and rapidly rose through the ranks to First Assistant Head Constable, succeeding Sir Leonard Dunning as Head Constable (the equivalent of Chief Constable in most other British forces) in January 1912. Caldwell was appointed Member of the Royal Victorian Order 5th Class (MVO) in 1913 and Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the 1920 civilian war honours. He was awarded the King's Police Medal (KPM) in the 1919 New Year Honours. He died at the age of 74. Daniel Edmund Caldwell (1935 – March 15, 2015) was an American actor, stage director and drama teacher. He was the founder of Conservatory Theatre Ensemble in Mill Valley, California, where he taught drama at Tamalpais High School. Early life and education Caldwell attended Tamalpais High School, transferring to Sir Francis Drake High School in San Anselmo, California when it opened in 1951. He graduated from Drake in 1952. Teaching career Caldwell taught drama for 37 years at Tamalpais High School, from 1962 until his retirement in 1999. Craig Caldwell (born 20 January 1973) is a New Zealand professional darts player who competes in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) tournaments. His major sponsors are SHOT, L-Style and Clearview Windows Limited. Career Caldwell topped the New Zealand regional table in the 2014/15 season to win a place in the preliminary round of the 2016 BDO World Darts Championship. Columbus Caldwell (September 25, 1830 – December 18, 1908) was an American farmer and politician. Born in Charlotte, Chautauqua County, New York, Caldwell moved with his parents to Wisconsin Territory in 1836. Caldwell settled first in Kenosha, Wisconsin and then Rochester, Wisconsin. In 1849, Caldwell finally settled in Lind, Wisconsin. During the American Civil War, Caldwell enlisted in the 1st Wisconsin Volunteer Cavalry Regiment as a private.
