Clubul Sportiv Mioveni (; ''Mioveni Sports Club''), commonly known as CS Mioveni, or simply as Mioveni, is a Romanian professional football club based in Mioveni, Argeș County, currently playing in the Liga I. They were founded in 2000 as ''AS Mioveni 2000'' and play their home matches at the Stadionul Orășenesc, which has a capacity of 10,000. History First years and ascension (2000–2011) The club was founded in 2000 under the name ''AS Mioveni'' (Mioveni Sports Association). After one season in the Liga IV, AS Mioveni merged with Dacia Pitești in 2001 and took its place in the Liga III, while the club changed its name to ''AS Dacia Mioveni'', only to change it soon after that to ''CS Dacia Mioveni'' (Dacia Mioveni Sports Club). A total of 21 teams contested the league, instead of 20, due to the no relegation rule imposed in the previous season by the suspension of the league due to COVID-19 pandemic. The 2015–16 Liga II was the 76th season of the Liga II, the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The season began on 29 August. The 28 teams were divided in two series (with 14 teams each). The regular season was played in a round-robin tournament. The first six teams from each series played a play-off for promotion to Liga I. Because of switching to a system with just one series of 22 teams from next season, there will be 11 teams relegated from Liga II this year.
