CNC Plus TV
Plus TV is a private national free-to-air television channel. It is the sixth private TV channel established in Cyprus. Its first official broadcast took place on July 28, 2006. History Its first official broadcast was in the mid-2000s as ''Astra TV'' until 2005 when it was renamed to ''Axia Channel'' while on July 28, 2006 it changed to ''CNC Plus TV'', where ''CNC'' meaning ''Cyprus New Channel'' broadcasting a pilot program with children's and music shows, while from January 2007, it broadcasts under its current name (Plus TV) with the acronym CNC later removed from August of the same year. Engomi
Engomi ( el, Έγκωμη tr, Engomi or Enkomi) is a suburb and municipality of the Cypriot capital Nicosia. In 2011, it had a population of 18,010. Of these, 14,254 were citizens of Cyprus. It is a mainly residential neighbourhood with many large villas. It also includes a very important annexe to the powerful Monastery of Our Lady Eleousa. The University of Nicosia is also located within the municipality and thus is home to a large student population. Engomi has a large diplomatic presence. New Epsilon TV is a private regional television station. Its headquarters are based in Peristeri, Attica. History E Channel E Channel started operating on Wednesday, September 11, 2013, replacing 902 TV, bought by Vrionis. In 2017, the channel was sold to Ivan Savvidis and replaced by Open TV. Alter Channel
Alter Channel, better known as Alter, was a private TV channel in Greece. It launched in 1990 and was owned by Eleftheri Tileorasi S.A. and was headed by Andreas Kouris. Programming mainly consisted of news, current affairs shows and entertainment programs. Alter featured news anchor Nikos Hadjinikolaou, morning show host Giorgos Aftias, and investigative reporter Makis Triantafyllopoulos. Alter also aired the award-winning program '' Light In The Tunnel'', which tracked down missing individuals. It also featured a lineup of children's programming that aired daily. Alpha TV is a Greek free-to-air channel, being one of the biggest stations in Greece. The station features a mix of Greek and foreign shows with an emphasis on information. The studios are located in Kifissia and Pallini. Alpha TV is owned by Alpha Satellite Television S.A. In Cyprus, private broadcaster Sigma TV used to broadcast a number of Alpha's programs. 902 TV was a television station in Greece that was supported by the Communist Party of Greece. It featured general entertainment programming and was available throughout Greece. On September 10, 2012, ceased operations due to financial difficulties as well as the high costs involved in converting from analogue to digital. On March 2, 2013, starts broadcasting again via Digea. On 11 August 2013, the television station along with the relevant broadcast license was sold by the party to a private company called A-Horizon Media Ltd, and hence no longer has any affiliation to the party. Star Channel is a Greek free-to-air television channel that broadcasts a mix of foreign and Greek shows. It was launched in December 1993 and is owned by New Television S.A. (a company owned by Giannis Vardinogiannis). Omega TV Cyprus
Omega TV is a free to air terrestrial TV channel. It is the first private television channel established in Cyprus. Since the launch of the channel in 1992, it has been dedicated to broadcasting high quality Cypriot and Greek programming including kids programs as well as Church orientated programs.
