CNBC Asia is a pay television business channel based in Singapore. A subsidiary of NBCUniversal, it is the Asian service of CNBC (Consumer News and Business Channel). Its programmes originate from Singapore. It was officially opening ceremony at grand opening or formally opening breakfast in Singapore on 20 June 1995 at 6:00am SST based in Singapore and it operated from CNBC Asia's head office and headquarters in Singapore. 1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. The "i" is an abbreviation for "interlaced"; this indicates that only the even lines, then the odd lines of each frame (each image called a video field) are drawn alternately, so that only half the number of actual image frames are used to produce video. A related display resolution is 1080p, which also has 1080 lines of resolution; the "p" refers to progressive scan, which indicates that the lines of resolution for each frame are "drawn" on the screen in sequence. DreamWorks Channel, commonly known as DreamWorks, is a pay television network owned and operated by the NBCUniversal International Networks division of NBCUniversal, a division of Comcast. First launched in Southeast Asia on 1 August 2015, it expanded to the rest of Asia as well as Europe, Africa, Oceania and Latin America. Its programming is dominated by productions from DreamWorks Animation. ''The Money Wheel'' is a business news television program aired on weekdays on the CNBC network from its inception in 1989 until 1998. Initially, ''The Money Wheel'' covered almost all of the channel's business day hours, airing continuously from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET each day. The show's hours were later cut back to 10 a.m. to 12 noon and 2 to 3 p.m. ET as other programs were introduced to the schedule. The show gave viewers the latest market action on Wall Street as the trading day progressed. Bernard Lo is a Canadian television anchor who was a longtime host for CNBC Asia and Bloomberg Television. Biography Bernard Lo was a Hong Kong-based anchor for CNBC Asia and also hosted news and talk show programs for Bloomberg Television for many years. After working for many years in local English language television news in Hong Kong and Singapore, he joined CNBC as part of the Asia startup team in 1994. Goh Chok Tong
Goh Chok Tong (; born 20 May 1941) is a Singaporean former politician who served as Prime Minister of Singapore between 1990 and 2004, and Secretary-General of the People's Action Party between 1992 and 2004.
