CA Bordeaux-Bègles Gironde
Club Athlétique Bordeaux-Bègles Gironde are a French multisports club, established in 1907, based in Bègles, in the southern suburbs of Bordeaux. Their rugby union section, Union Bordeaux Bègles is their flagship. They play in blue and white chequered shirts, hence their nickname ''Les Damiers'' (''the draught-boards''). The club now only has youth teams, although the club's website documents the result of the new team thoroughly. The club has always played at Stade André-Moga, which holds 10,000. History CABBG were the main team of the Bordeaux area for most of the 20th century. They remained in the first division from 1913 to 2003 and won two French championships (1969, 1991) along the way. Thierry Devergie
Thierry Devergie (born 27 July 1966 in Marseille) is a French former rugby union footballer. He played as a lock and as a flanker. He also had a brief stint as a professional rugby league footballer. Career Devergie played for RC Nîmes and for FC Grenoble (1994/95) in rugby union. He played a season for Paris Saint-Germain Rugby League (1995/96), returning to his previous code afterwards. He played for the Welsh team Neath RFC in the season of 1997/98, moving to Bristol Shoguns, in England the same season. Returning to France he would represent CA Brive (1998/99) and CA Bordeaux-Bègles Gironde (1999/2000). He finished his career aged 33 years old. Michel Courtiols (born 27 April 1965 in Fumel) is a former French rugby union player. He played as a flanker. He played for Cahors Rugby and for CA Bordeaux-Bègles Gironde, Bordeaux Bègles, from 1990/91 to 1996/97. Jacques Chaban-Delmas (; 7 March 1915 – 10 November 2000) was a French Gaullist politician. He served as Prime Minister under Georges Pompidou from 1969 to 1972.
