Guy Accoceberry
Guy Accoceberry (born 5 May 1967, in Vittel) is a former French rugby union footballer. He played as a scrum-half. He played for Tyrosse RCS and for CA Bordeaux-Bègles Gironde, from 1985/86 to 2000/01, where he achieved the greatest success of his career, winning the National Championship in 1990/91. Accoceberry had 19 caps for France, from 1994 to 1997, scoring 2 tries, 10 points in aggregate. Scrumhalf (rugby Union)
In the game of rugby union, there are 15 players on each team, comprising eight forwards (wearing jerseys numbered 1–8) and seven backs (numbered 9–15). In addition, there may be up to eight replacement players "on the bench", numbered 16–23. Players are not restricted to a single position, although they generally specialise in just one or two that suit their skills and body types. Players that play multiple positions are called "utility players". Forwards compete for the ball in scrums and line-outs and are generally bigger and stronger than the backs. Props push in the scrums, while the hooker tries to secure the ball for their team by "hooking" it back with their heel. Vittel
Vittel (; archaic ) is a commune in the Vosges department in Grand Est in northeastern France. Mineral water is bottled and sold here by Nestlé Waters France, under the ''Vittel'' brand. History In 1854, after visiting the baths at nearby Contrexéville, lawyer Louis Bouloumié purchased the Fontaine de Gérémoy, site of the modern-day town of Vittel. CA Bordeaux-Bègles Gironde
Club Athlétique Bordeaux-Bègles Gironde are a French multisports club, established in 1907, based in Bègles, in the southern suburbs of Bordeaux. Their rugby union section, Union Bordeaux Bègles is their flagship. They play in blue and white chequered shirts, hence their nickname ''Les Damiers'' (''the draught-boards''). The club now only has youth teams, although the club's website documents the result of the new team thoroughly. The club has always played at Stade André-Moga, which holds 10,000. The 1995 Rugby World Cup was the third Rugby World Cup. It was hosted and won by South Africa, and was the first Rugby World Cup in which every match was held in one country. The World Cup was the first major sporting event to take place in South Africa following the end of apartheid. It was also the first World Cup in which South Africa was allowed to compete; the International Rugby Football Board (IRFB, now World Rugby) had only readmitted South Africa to international rugby in 1992, following negotiations to end apartheid.
