Nagrik Unmukti Party
The People's Freedom Party (, ''Nagrik Unmukti Party'') is a political party in Nepal. The party's primary base is in the Tharuhath region, especially Kailali district and Bardiya District, Bardiya district. History Formation and Registration The party was formed under the coordination of Member of House of Representatives (Nepal), House of Representatives, Resham Lal Chaudhary. Due to some acts of law, he could not chair the party, so his wife was chosen as chair instead. He left his former party, the People's Socialist Party, Nepal, claiming that it had become power-centric, forgetting the mandate provided by the citizens whom the leaders only used as a vote bank. Party expansion and first election The party rapidly expanded in a few months in the Tharuhath region. Ranjeeta Shrestha ( ne, रञ्जिता श्रेष्ठ) is a Nepalese politician and chairwoman of the Nagrik Unmukti Party. Shrestha is the current Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation (Nepal), Minister of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation since 31 March 2023. Madhesh Provincial Assembly
The Provincial Assembly of Madhesh Province ( Nepali/ Maithili: मधेश प्रदेश सभा) is a unicameral governing and law making body of Madhesh Province, one of the 7 Provinces in Nepal, and is situated at Janakpur, the province capital of Madhesh Province, with 107 Members of the Provincial Assembly (MPA). Lumbini
Lumbinī ( ne, लुम्बिनी, IPA=ˈlumbini , "the lovely") is a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the Rupandehi District of Lumbini Province in Nepal. It is the place where, according to Buddhist tradition, Queen Mahamayadevi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautama at around 566 BCE. Gautama, who, according to Buddhist tradition, achieved Enlightenment some time around 528 BCE, became Gautama Buddha and founded Buddhism. Lumbini is one of many magnets for pilgrimage that sprang up in places pivotal to the life of the Buddha. Lumbini has a number of older temples, including the Mayadevi Temple, and various new temples, funded by Buddhist organisations from various countries, have been completed or are still under construction. 2022 Nepalese General Election
General elections are expected to be held in Nepal in November 2022 unless the House of Representatives is dissolved earlier. The discussion is underway due to interest of leading Nepali Congress while the opposition, CPN (UML), is already demanding a fresh mandate. Dissolution and reinstatement Although the House was dissolved on 20 December 2020 by President Bidya Devi Bhandari on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, with elections scheduled for 30 April and 10 May 2021, the legitimacy of the dissolution was challenged in the Supreme Court. On 23 February 2021, the court reinstated the House of Representatives, but it was dissolved again on 22 May 2021 by the president on the recommendation of the cabinet, with elections scheduled for 12 and 19 November, stating no one had adequate claim to be appointed prime minister according to Article 76(5) of the Constitution. Sudurpashchim Province ( ne, सुदूरपश्चिम प्रदेश, ''Sudurpashchim Province'') (''Far-West Province'') is one of the seven provinces established by the new constitution of Nepal which was adopted on 20 September 2015.
