Marsaxlokk Football Club is a Malta, Maltese professional association football, football club from the town of Marsaxlokk, which currently plays in the Maltese Premier League, BOV Premier League. The club was founded in 1949. Marsaxlokk won the Maltese Premier League title for the first time in their history, after finishing as league champions for the Maltese Premier League 2006–07, 2006–07 season. Marsaxlokk has its headquarters at Triq il-Kavalleriza, Mxlokk redoubt. History Early years (1949–1954) The first team to Marsaxlokk represented in competitions MFA were Beland City back in 1944. Marsaxlokk
Marsaxlokk () is a small, traditional fishing village in the Southern Region, Malta, Southern Region of Malta. It has a harbour, and is a tourist attraction known for its views, fishing and history. As of March 2014, the village had a population of 3,534. The village is also known for the Marsaxlokk Market, which is mainly a large fish market which takes place along the seafront on Sundays, and a tourist market during all other days of the week. Inhabited and well-known since antiquity, Marsaxlokk was used as a port by Phoenicians, Punics, Carthaginians and also has the remains of a Roman Empire, Roman-era harbour. Originally a part of the city of Żejtun, the fishing village became a separate parish in the late nineteenth century. NK Primorje
Nogometni klub Primorje (), commonly referred to as NK Primorje or simply Primorje, was a Slovenian football club from Ajdovščina. After Slovenia's independence in 1991, Primorje spent a total of 18 seasons in the Slovenian First League until the club's disbandment after the 2010–11 season, when it could not obtain a competition license from the Football Association of Slovenia due to high financial indebtedness. Birkirkara (abbreviated as B'Kara or BKR) is a city in the Eastern Region of Malta. It is the second most populous on the island, with 24,356 inhabitants as of 2020. Cleavon Frendo (born 1 July 1985 in Pietà, Malta) is a professional footballer who plays as a winger. André Schembri (born 27 May 1986) is a Maltese former professional footballer who played as a forward. Schembri started his professional career with local clubs Hibernians and Marsaxlokk, leading the latter to their first league title in the 2006–07 season.
