Maroussi B.C. ( gr, K.A.E. Μαρούσι, link=off) alternately translated as Marousi, Amaroussi, or Amaroussion, is a professional basketball club that is based in Marousi, a northern suburb of Athens, in Greece. The club's full name is Gymnastikos Syllogos Maroussi Basketball Club, which is commonly abbreviated as G.S. Maroussi B.C. The club has played for many years in the top-tier level Greek Basket League. The club currently plays in the Greek 2nd Division. Vassil Iliev "Vasco" Evtimov ( bg, Васил Илиев "Васко" Евтимов) (born 30 May 1977) is a French-Bulgarian former professional basketball player and head coach of BC Chernomorets in National Basketball League. A 2.08 m power forward, he played professionally in ten different countries throughout his career. Ashraf Amaya
Ashraf Omar Amaya (born November 23, 1971) is an American former professional basketball player. High school career Amaya attended Oak Park and River Forest High School for his freshman year, but he transferred to Walther Lutheran High School to finish his high school career. While at Walther, Amaya led the Broncos to a 3rd-place finish in the 1988 Illinois High School Association playoffs. Amaya's number 50 jersey is retired at Walther. College career Amaya played college basketball for the Southern Illinois University. Jimmy Allen Oliver (born July 12, 1969) is an American former professional basketball player who played several seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round (39th pick overall) of the 1991 NBA draft. Evangelos "Vangelis" Alexandris ( el, Ευάγγελος "Βαγγέλης" Αλεξανδρής; born February 2, 1951) is a Greek professional basketball coach and a retired professional player. The 2000–01 FIBA Saporta Cup was the thirty-fifth edition of FIBA's 2nd-tier level European-wide professional club basketball competition. It occurred between October 17, 2000, and April 17, 2001.
