Ashraf Amaya
Ashraf Omar Amaya (born November 23, 1971) is an American former professional basketball player. High school career Amaya attended Oak Park and River Forest High School for his freshman year, but he transferred to Walther Lutheran High School to finish his high school career. While at Walther, Amaya led the Broncos to a 3rd-place finish in the 1988 Illinois High School Association playoffs. Amaya's number 50 jersey is retired at Walther. College career Amaya played college basketball for the Southern Illinois University. Professional career After college, Amaya then would appear for the Vancouver Grizzlies in their inaugural season ( 1995–96) and Washington Bullets (1996–97) in the NBA, playing a total of 85 games in those two seasons. Amaya last played professionally for the Apollon Patras club in Greece, in the Greek Basket League in 2004. Forward (basketball)
In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. The three main positions are guard, forward, and center, with the standard team featuring two guards, two forwards, and a center. The FIBA Saporta Cup was the name of the second-tier level European-wide professional club basketball competition, where the domestic National Cup winners, from all over Europe, played against each other. Alpella
Alpella Spor Kulübü, or Alpella B.K., is a defunct professional basketball club that was based in Turkey. The club was founded as a humble successor to the Turkish Basketball League club Ülker G.S.K., after the Ülker corporation, which owned and sponsored the club, decided to abolish it, and merge it with Fenerbahçe. The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official List of developmental and minor sports leagues, minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. Greek Basket League
The Greek Basket League (GBL), often also referred to as the Greek A1 Basketball League, or Greek Basketball Championship (originally called Panhellenic Basketball Championship), and also known as the Stoiximan Basket League for sponsorship reasons, is the first tier level professional basketball league in Greece.
