Kluuvi
Kluuvi (; sv, Gloet) is the commercial centre of Helsinki, Finland, and a neighbourhood in the Vironniemi district of Helsinki. The Helsinki Central railway station, Hotel Kämp and Hotel Arthur, the Helsinki main post office, the Stockmann and Sokos department stores, the Kluuvi shopping centre and the main offices of Finnish banks are located in Kluuvi. Kluuvi includes the central campus of the University of Helsinki, the Ateneum art museum, and the movie theatres Maxim, Kinopalatsi and Bristol. The northeastern part of Kluuvi, which includes the Kaisaniemi park, is commonly called Kaisaniemi, but it is not the official name of any neighbourhood in Helsinki. The neighbourhood is home to 23,000 jobs and several hundred inhabitants. Helsinki Central Railway Station
Helsinki Central Station ( fi, Helsingin päärautatieasema, sv, Helsingfors centralstation) ( HEC) is the main station for commuter rail and long-distance trains departing from Helsinki, Finland. The station is used by approximately 400,000 people per day, of whom about 200,000 are passengers. It serves as the terminus for all trains in the Helsinki commuter rail network, as well as for all Helsinki-bound long-distance trains in Finland. The Rautatientori (Central Railway Station) metro station is located in the same building. All trains from Finland to Saint Petersburg and Moscow in Russia also depart from Helsinki Central Station. Kluuvi Shopping Centre
The Kluuvi shopping centre ( fi, Kauppakeskus Kluuvi) is a shopping centre on Aleksanterinkatu in the Kluuvi district in central Helsinki, Finland. The shopping centre has about 35 businesses (of which the most notable are G-Star RAW, Superdry, Tiger of Sweden, Robert's Coffee, Fred Perry, Misako, George, Gina and Lucy, McDonald's, and Eat & Joy Kluuvi Market Hall). Kluuvi offers 10 new international brand stores first and only in Finland as well as a mix of some interesting Finnish retail concepts and restaurants. In the basement, there is an eco-market hall concept representing local Finnish delicacies from more than 500 Finnish small producers. Also a bread-oven and fish smokery are located in the shop. Kaartinkaupunki
Kaartinkaupunki ( sv, Gardesstaden) is a Subdivisions of Helsinki#Neighbourhoods, neighbourhood in the southern part of Helsinki, Finland. Kaartinkaupunki consists of the area between the Esplanadi park and the Tähtitornin vuori park. Its area was first confirmed in 1812, but the neighbourhood was only named in 1959. It is neighbourhood number 3 in Helsinki, belonging to the Ullanlinna district and to the Southern main district. Kaartinkaupunki was named after the old Russian army barracks located near Kasarmitori. The oldest part of the barracks was built in 1822. Hotel Kämp
Hotel Kämp () is an historic hotel in Kluuvi, Helsinki, Finland. It is a member of Leading Hotels of the World. The hotel, originally built in 1887 by Carl Kämp, was designed by Theodor Höijer. The building was demolished and the facade was rebuilt in 1965. The headquarters of the bank Kansallis-Osake-Pankki (now part of Nordea) were situated in the building for almost three decades, until 1995. A major restoration project, started in 1996, culminated in the reopening of Hotel Kämp in 1999 as part of The Luxury Collection. A shopping centre, , was also opened within the same city block. Kruununhaka (; ) is a neighbourhood of Helsinki, the capital of Finland. Kruununhaka became the area next to the harbour and the center, when Helsinki was moved from the earlier location in the mid-1660s. Kamppi
Kamppi () is a neighbourhood in the centre of Helsinki, the capital of Finland. The name originally referred to a small area known as the "Kamppi field" (see below), but according to the current official designation, "Kamppi" encompasses a much larger area with a population of 10,000 in 2004. The heart of Kamppi is a part of the Central Business District. However, in stark contrast to the other districts of central Helsinki, development in Kamppi was sporadic and the very centre of Kamppi remained entirely undeveloped until 2002. The name "Kamppi" is derived from the Swedish word for battle, '' kamp''. Under Russian rule in the 19th century, Kamppi was mainly used as a military area by Russian forces, with barracks and training fields, which the name refers to. Ateneum
Ateneum is an art museum in Helsinki, Finland and one of the three museums forming the Finnish National Gallery. It is located in the centre of Helsinki on the south side of Rautatientori square close to Helsinki Central railway station. It has the biggest collections of classical art in Finland. Before 1991 the Ateneum building also housed the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts and University of Art and Design Helsinki.
