Hapoel ( he, הפועל, lit. ''the worker'') is an Israeli Jewish sports association established in 1926 by the Histadrut Labor Federation. History During the Mandate for Palestine, British Mandate of Palestine period Hapoel had a bitter rivalry with Maccabi World Union, Maccabi and organized its own competitions, with the exception of Israel Football Association, football, the only sport in which all the organizations played each other. Jacky Ben-Zaken ( he, ג'קי בן זקן; born 1967 in Mazkeret Batya) is an Israeli businessman from Ashdod. His main business focus is in yielding real estate. He is also known as owner of the Israeli Premier League football club F.C. Ashdod. Early life Ben-Zaken was born in 1967 in Mazkeret Batya. He moved to Ashdod after his mother second marriage. Pedro Sass Petrazzi (born 15 September 1990) is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a midfielder for Hapoel Ashdod. Career Born in Jaboticabal, he played with Comercial FC from Ribeirão Preto back in Brazil. In 2009, he moved to Europe, to Hungary, and joined Kaposvölgye VSC. After one season he moved to Kaposvári Rákóczi FC where he will play four seasons in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, Hungarian championship. Afterwards, he moved to Greece and played in the 2013–14 Super League Greece with Levadiakos. Next stop was Israel, he joined Hapoel Ra'anana in summer 2014. Shon Edri (or Sean Edry, he, שון עדרי; born 9 August 2004) is an Israeli professional footballer who plays as a center-back for Israeli Liga Leumit club Hapoel Ramat HaSharon, on loan from Maccabi Tel Aviv, and the Israel national under-20 team. Pini Balili ( he, פִּינִי בַּלִילִי; born 18 June 1979) is an Israeli former football manager and former player. He was born in Jerusalem and is Jewish, of Turkish descent. Career Move back to Hapoel As a youngster, Balili grew up supporting Hapoel Tel Aviv and was part of the youth system there before moving to Shimshon Tel Aviv in his teens. Moris Zano ( he, מוריס ז'אנו; born 8 May 1958) is an Israeli former footballer. Zano was born in Morocco and moved to Israel at a young age and grew up in Ashkelon. Zano started playing football for Hapoel Ashkelon and at age 16 he joined to the senior. After enlisting exams approached Air Force football championship, where he met Hapoel Tel Aviv soccer player Ya'akov Ekhoiz, who recommended him to join to Hapoel. The 2015–16 Liga Gimel season was the 48th season of fifth tier football in Israel, with 108 clubs competing in 8 regional divisions for promotion to Liga Bet. League matches began on 9 October 2015 and ended on 7 May 2016.
