''F.E.A.R.'' is a first-person shooter Horror game#Psychological horror, psychological horror video game series created by Craig Hubbard in 2005. Released on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, there are three main games in the series; ''F.E.A.R. (video game), F.E.A.R.'' (2005), ''F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin'' (2009), and ''F.E.A.R. 3'' (2011). There are also two standalone expansion packs for the first game; ''F.E.A.R. Extraction Point'' (2006) and ''F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate'' (2007), but these games are no longer considered Canon (fiction), canon, as their plots were ignored in ''Project Origin'' and ''F.E.A.R. 3''. In 2014, ''F.E.A.R. Slow motion (commonly abbreviated as slo-mo or slow-mo) is an effect in film-making whereby time appears to be slowed down. It was invented by the Austrian priest August Musger in the early 20th century. Alma Wade is the main antagonist and mascot of the '' F.E.A.R.'' series of first-person shooter horror video games by Monolith Productions. '' F.E.A.R.'' was introduced in 2005. The plot of the series revolves around the mystery of Alma. She is a psychic who seeks revenge against Armacham Technology Corporation, due to their usage of her in a series of experiments.
