Drottnar is an extreme metal band from Fredrikstad, Norway. Formed in 1996, the band has released four albums, ''Spiritual Battle'' (2000), ''Welterwerk'' (2006), ''Stratum'' (2012) and ''Monolith'' (2019) and an EP titled ''Anamorphosis'' (2003). The first album was released on UK label Plankton Records. They are currently signed to Swedish label Endtime Productions ( Extol, Antestor, Crimson Moonlight). ''Drottnar'' is the plural (sing. ''Drottinn'', Norwegian "Drott") of an Icelandic word for master, ruler or king. Originally adopting a Viking image, the band is currently known for their peculiar thematics and live shows where they use military uniforms reminiscent of the Soviet style. Antestor () is a Norwegian Christian extreme metal band formed in 1990 in Jessheim. Credited for starting the northern European Christian metal, Christian black metal scene,Bryzak, Michael. Endtime Productions Antestor is the only Christian band to have an album released by Cacophonous Records, which has also released records by bands such as Dimmu Borgir, Sigh (band), Sigh, and Cradle of Filth. Cornerstone Festival
Cornerstone Festival was a Christian music festival put on by Jesus People USA and held annually around July 4 near Bushnell, Illinois, drawing some 20,000 attendees each year. In a given year, many artists that played at Cornerstone also played at other events such as Creation Festival and mainstream festivals and tours such as the Warped Tour. The final festival was held in 2012. Cornerstone Festival was a member of the Christian Festival Association. History From 1984 to 1990, Cornerstone was held at the Lake County Fairgrounds near Grayslake, Illinois. In 1991, Cornerstone moved near the town of Bushnell (outside Macomb) where the organizers of the festival purchased a large piece of land, which is now called "Cornerstone Farm". Grimfist (band)
Grimfist is a Norwegian blackened death metal band from Oslo. Founded in October 2001, they are currently signed to Candlelight Records, with whom they have released two albums. History The band's debut album, ''Ghouls of Grandeur'', was recorded in Abyss Studios in Sweden, March 2003, and was mixed by Peter Tägtgren. The record was well received by the critics, who noted the band's unique mix of heavy metal, black metal and death metal. The collaboration was between guitarist Ole Walaunet (Deride), drummer Horgh (Immortal, Hypocrisy), and vocalist Frediablo (ex-Necrophagia, Gorelord, Hemnur).
