Cúla4
Cúla4 ( ga, Cúla Ceathair) is an Irish language block programming, programming block and a stand-alone television channel for Irish speaking children in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. It is operated by the Irish broadcaster TG4. On 11 April 2022, Cúla4 was rebranded, with a new logo. Development The strand was first established in 1996 as Cúlabúla; with the rebrand of TnaG to TG4 in 1999 Cúlabúla was renamed "Cúla4". As of 1 September 2009 Cúla4 is available as a separate channel to Virgin Media Ireland customers on channel 602. A new schedule coincided with the launch on UPC. The majority of programming is a mixture of homegrown and international programmes which are either dubbed or subtitled in Irish language, Irish. Orla Ní Fhinneadha
Orla Ní Fhinneadha is an Irish singer, teacher, television presenter and former child actor. A gaeilgeoir she has been a weather presenter and teacher on the Irish-language television station, station TG4. She is an accomplished Sean-nós singing, Sean-nós singer. She was one of the presenters of Cúla4 ar Scoil, a television series broadcasting primary school lessons to children who could not attend school due to COVID-19 in Ireland, COVID related lockdowns. Background Ní Fhinneadha attended Scoil Náisiúnta Cholmcille in Tully, County Galway, and Coláiste Cholmcille in Inverin. She was a contestant in the County Galway section of the Rose of Tralee (festival), Rose of Tralee competition. Career Ní Fhinneadha qualified as a teacher. Home School Hub
''RTÉ's Home School Hub'', or simply ''Home School Hub'', and its companion show ''Home School Extra'', was an educational television programme which was created in response to the closure of all schools during the COVID-19 pandemic in the Republic of Ireland in 2020. Announced on 21 March, it began broadcasting on RTÉ2 on 30 March, aimed at children attending 1st–6th class of primary school (i.e. roughly 6/7–12/13 years of age). The first series ended on 19 June. A new series After School Hub began on 11 October, broadcasting in the afternoon to cater for children whose parents are working from home. The series finished on 19 March 2021. Saorview ( ) is the national digital terrestrial television (DTT) service in Ireland. It is owned by RTÉ and operated by 2RN. The service began operation on 29 October 2010 on a trial basis with a full launch on 26 May 2011. By legislation it was required to be available to approximately 90% of the population by end of October 2010 in a public testing capacity and nationwide by December 2011. The national public launch was preceded by a public information campaign, which began on 15 March 2011, with television and radio advertising beginning on 17 March 2011. ''Ni Hao, Kai-Lan'' is an American animated children's television series produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studio. It began as a series of three interstitial shorts on Nick Jr. called ''Downward Doghouse''.
