The Serra de Rubió is a mountain range located in Catalonia, Spain, between the ''comarques'' of Anoia and Bages, and among the municipalities of Rubió, Castellfollit del Boix, Òdena and Els Prats de Rei. The landscape of the surroundings is characterized by woods of Aleppo Pine (''Pinus halepensis''), the predominant species in almost all the mountain range. Rubió
Rubió is a rural municipality in the ''comarca'' of Anoia in Catalonia, Spain. Its administrative centre is the village of Rubió, and other villages include Maçana and El Pla de Rubió. As of 2014, the municipality had 228 inhabitants. At it is one of the largest municipalities of the Alta Segarra, and at one time was the most sparsely populated. Overview In 1840, the old municipality of Maçana annexed Rubió to increase its population; the municipal limits remain unchanged from then on. Two theories exist about the origin of the toponym Rubió. One holds that it derives from ''rubeus'' (coppery), possibly alluding to the red colour of the land and the rocks of the mountain on which was built the Castell de Rubió. According to the second, Rubió derives from the Latin ''rufus'' (blond) through the name Rubione, a local landowner in the Roman Empire. Òdena (Spanish: ''Ódena'') is a municipality in the ''comarca'' of the Anoia in Barcelona province, Catalonia, Spain. It is situated in the centre of the Òdena Basin, on the side of a small hill. The remains of Òdena castle with its octagonal tower are at the top of the hill. The town is served by the C-241 road from Igualada to Manresa, and the main N-II road from Barcelona to Lleida runs through the municipality. The Igualada-Òdena Aerodrome is located at the south of the Òdena municipality. The airdrome is home to the Aerosport airshow that takes place every year in April or May. In 2009 it was officially elected by the Catalan government to be converted into a corporate usage airfield. The current 900 metre runway will be extended to 1500 metres and new hangars will be built for sportive and corporate aviation. A ''comarca'' (, or , or ) is a traditional region or local administrative division found in Portugal, Spain and some of their former colonies, like Brazil, Nicaragua, and Panama. The term is derived from the term ''marca'', meaning a "march, mark", plus the prefix ''co''-, meaning "together, jointly".
