Cártel Del Noreste
The Cártel del Noreste ( en, Northeast Cartel) is a Mexican criminal organization that splintered from Los Zetas, following the capture of the latter's last absolute leader Omar Treviño Morales. Their main criminal activities are kidnapping, extortion, vehicle theft, human trafficking, drug trafficking, terrorism, money laundering, as well as the control of local activities such as prostitution, and illegal human trafficking, among others. They have total control of the city of Nuevo Laredo, its main base. They are said to have an operational presence in the United States, Guatemala, Honduras and Colombia. The Municipality of Nuevo Laredo is located in the Mexican state of Tamaulipas. Its municipal seat is Nuevo Laredo. The municipality contains more than 60 localities which the most important ones are Nuevo Laredo, El Campanario y Oradel, and Álvarez, the last two being suburbs of the city of Nuevo Laredo. Miguel Ángel Treviño Morales (born 18 November 1970), commonly referred to by his alias ''Z-40'', is a Mexican former drug lord and leader of the criminal organization known as Los Zetas. Considered a violent, resentful and dangerous criminal, he was one of Mexico's most-wanted drug lords until his arrest in July 2013. Óscar Omar Treviño Morales (born January 26, 1974) is a Mexican convicted drug lord and former leader of Los Zetas, a criminal organization. He was one of Mexico's most-wanted drug lords. His brother is Miguel Treviño Morales, a former leader of the group. The authorities believe he was the successor of his brother, who was arrested on July 15, 2013. Los Zetas
Los Zetas (, Spanish for "The Zs") is a Mexican criminal syndicate, regarded as one of the most dangerous of Mexico's drug cartels. They are known for engaging in brutally violent "shock and awe" tactics such as beheadings, torture, and indiscriminate murder.
