The Czech Republic participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Hope Never Dies" written by Václav Noid Bárta and Tereza Šoralová. The song was performed by Marta Jandová and Václav Noid Bárta, who were internally selected by the Czech broadcaster Česká televize (ČT) to represent the nation at the 2015 contest in Vienna, Austria. The Czech broadcaster Česká televize (ČT) announced in November 2014 that it would be returning the Eurovision Song Contest after a five-year absence. Jandová and Bárta and the song "Hope Never Dies" were announced as the Czech entry on 31 January 2015. The song was presented to the public on 10 March 2015. The Czech Republic was drawn to compete in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 21 May 2015. Marta Jandová
Marta Verner (née Jandová; born 13 April 1974) is a Czech singer, best known for being the lead singer of the German alternative rock band Die Happy. She represented the Czech Republic in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 along with Václav Noid Bárta with the song " Hope Never Dies". Biography Marta Jandová is the daughter of the Czech musician Petr Janda, the solo-guitarist and singer of the band Olympic, which was one of the first and most popular rockbands in Czechoslovakia. In September 1993, Jandová moved to Ulm, Germany. Soon after her arrival, despite speaking only a little bit of German, she was asked by guitarist Thorsten Mewes to sing in a new band. Michael Kocáb
Michael Kocáb (born 28 July 1954) is a Czech composer, singer, and political activist. He is the leader of Pražský výběr, a popular music band suppressed by the Czechoslovak communist regime in the 1980s. At the spring 1989 Kocab with Michal Horacek founded the "Bridge" initiative; after founding of Civic Forum (CF) in November 19, 1989 he organized together with Horacek all negotiations of CF with the communist Prime Minister and his cabinet. On behalf of CF, Kocab was also responsible for negotiations with representatives of the Czechoslovak army.
