Cycling At The 2023 European Games
The cycling competitions of the 2023 European Games in Poland were held at two venues. Mountain bike cross-country took place at the Krynica-Zdrój Hill Park, while BMX freestyle took place at the new skatepark at Krzeszowice. Road, and track did not return to the program in 2023. Cycling competitions across various disciplines have been contested in both of the European Games since the first in 2015. Iveta Miculyčová
Iveta Miculyčová (born 15 September 2005) is a Czech BMX cyclist. In 2022 she became the European Champion in Freestyle Park and won the bronze medal at the 2022 World Championships. Early life Miculyčová is from Kostelec nad Orlicí in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. In 2018 a skatepark was built in her hometown and her parents bought her a BMX for Christmas. She also played football and made it to the under-15 national team and received an offer to play from Sparta Prague but her mother preferred her to stay at home and finish her education. Declan Brooks (born 10 July 1996) is a British Olympic bronze medalist winning cyclist who competes in Freestyle BMX. Brooks was born in Portsmouth and attended Cams Hill School and would practise at the Southsea skate park. Anthony Jeanjean (born 13 May 1998) is a French cyclist who competes in the Freestyle BMX. Jeanjean began riding BMX in Montpellier, aged 10. Kieran Reilly (born 12 July 2001) is a British cyclist from Gateshead who competes in Freestyle BMX. In August 2023 he became the World Champion at the event. Career Reilly began performing tricks on his BMX at the Leam Lane skatepark, in Gateshead. He entered his first competition at the Urban Games in Whitley Bay.
