The Women's road time trial at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, as part of the cycling programme, was held on 31 July 2014. Route The event started at Glasgow Green at 10am, with each of the riders beginning by heading east to Dennistoun and Haghill. The route continued north-east through Riddrie to the main circuit. The riders turned west and then north towards Barmulloch and Robroyston, before heading east through Auchinloch and on to Chryston Chryston is a village in North Lanarkshire, around east of Glasgow, in Scotland. Glasgow Green
Glasgow Green is a park in the east end of Glasgow, Scotland, on the north bank of the River Clyde. Established in the 15th century, it is the oldest park in the city. Millerston
Millerston is a district partially in the Scottish city of Glasgow and partially in North Lanarkshire. It is situated north of the River Clyde, to the north of the city's Craigend, Garthamlock and Ruchazie neighbourhoods, but physically separated from them by parkland and wooded areas. It is also home to the playing fields of Glasgow's St Aloysius College and Strathclyde University. Whilst part of Millerston belongs to Glasgow City Council, the other part is served by North Lanarkshire Council. Laura Brown is a Canadian cyclist who competes on the track and road including as a member of the Canadian team pursuit team. As a reserve, Brown was part of the Canadian team that won a bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics in the women's team pursuit. She was also part of the team that won gold at the 2011 Pan American Games in the team pursuit. She also won the points race at the Manchester round of the 2013–14 UCI Track Cycling World Cup. Brown took up cycling in 2002 after giving up competing in gymnastics due to an ongoing back injury. Ashleigh Moolman Pasio (née Moolman; born 9 December 1985) is a South African professional female road bicycle racer, who currently rides for UCI Women's WorldTeam . Anna Elizabeth Christian (born 6 August 1995) is a Manx racing cyclist, who currently rides for More Stories Tomorrow. She rode at the 2014 UCI Road World Championships. Joanna Katie Rowsell MBE (born 5 December 1988) is a retired English cyclist on the Great Britain Cycling Team who competed on track and road. Her greatest successes were the gold medals won in the women's team pursuit at the 2012 London Olympics and the 2016 Rio Olympics as well as five World Championship titles, four in the team pursuit (2008, 2009, 2012 and 2014) plus one in the individual pursuit at the 2014 World Championships. Jasmin Duehring (née Glaesser; born July 8, 1992) is a German-born Canadian cyclist, who currently rides for American amateur team . Duehring was part of the Canadian team that won bronze medals at the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2016 Summer Olympics in the women's team pursuit. She was also part of the team that won gold at the 2011 Pan American Games in the team pursuit. Anna Turvey (born 5 February 1980) is a bicycle racing, racing cyclist competing for Ireland. She holds the Irish National records for the 10 miles, 25 miles and 50 miles individual time trials.
