Anna Christian
Anna Elizabeth Christian (born 6 August 1995) is a Manx racing cyclist, who currently rides for More Stories Tomorrow. She rode at the 2014 UCI Road World Championships. Christian became British Junior Road Race Champion in 2013. In October 2014 it was announced that she would join the team in 2015. She is the sister of fellow racing cyclist Mark Christian. At the 2017 Tour of Wolds, which was part of the National Women's road series, Christian finished second. In 2017 she won the inaugural women's under-23 British National Time Trial Championships on home soil on the Isle of Man. History In 1995 Australian Bill Mitchell, a keen cyclist and professor of economics at the University of Newcastle, created the website titled "Bill’s Cycling Racing Results and News" after finding there was a need for fast-breaking news and race results in English-speaking countries. In 1999 Sydney-based publishing company Knapp Communications purchased the website from Mitchell, and in July 2007 they sold it to British publisher Future plc for £2.2m. 2014 UCI Road World Championships
The 2014 UCI Road World Championships took place in Ponferrada, Spain, from 21 to 28 September 2014. The cycling championships consisted of 12 events for elite, under-23 and junior cyclists. It was the 81st UCI Road World Championships and the seventh time that Spain had hosted the championships; they were previously held in Lasarte in 1965, Montjuïc in 1973, Barcelona in 1984, Benidorm in 1992, San Sebastián in 1997 and Madrid in 2005. Bidding process The UCI announced on 4 April 2011 that the city of Ponferrada had the best candidature file to host the Championships. Mark Peter Christian (born 20 November 1990) is a Isle of Man, Manx former racing cyclist, who last rode for UCI ProSeries, UCI ProTeam . A former member of the Great Britain Olympic Development Program, Christian won a bronze medal for the Isle of Man at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in the Scratch Race. He is the brother of fellow racing cyclist Anna Christian. Professional background In 2007, Christian was signed to the British Olympic Development Program.
