Cura sa čaršije ( en, italic=yes, Girl from the Čaršija) is the tenth studio album by Bosnian pop-folk singer Elvira Rahić. It was released 11 April 2011 through Hayat Production. Background Rahić recorded a duet with friend and colleague Enes Begović called "Dođi na godinu" for the album. A "new style" accompanied the album, different from Rahić's previous work. Release ''Cura sa čaršije'' was released by Hayat Production on 11 April 2011. Elvira Rahić
Elvira Rahić (born 1 September 1973) is a Bosnian pop-folk singer. Rahić began her professional music career in 1991 and has since released ten studio albums. She lives in Sarajevo and Vienna. Career Rahić will release her eleventh studio album by May 2015. Personal life Rahić is married to Šaban Forić and together they have a son named Dino. She and her husband are practicing Muslims. The couple lived in Sarajevo before moving to Berlin in 2007 when Forić became employed at the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Berlin. Forić was relocated to the Bosnian embassy in Vienna in November 2011. Pop Folk
Folk-pop is a musical style that may be 1) contemporary folk songs with large, sweeping pop arrangements, or 2) pop songs with intimate, acoustic-based folk arrangements. Recording production values created a unblemished style that appealed to a mass audience, and thus led to commercial success as measured by high record sales, particularly as illustrated by hit records reaching the Top 40 on AM radio in the United States. Baščaršija
Baščaršija (Cyrillic: Башчаршија; ) is Sarajevo's old bazaar and the historical and cultural center of the city. Baščaršija was built in the 15th century when Isa-Beg Ishaković founded the city. Baščaršija is located on the north bank of the river Miljacka, in the municipality of Stari Grad. On Baščaršija there are several important historic buildings, such as the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque and sahat-kula. Today Baščaršija is the major tourist attraction of Sarajevo.
